SM Celebrates Its Japanese Dome Concert Landmarks Set by TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, and SHINee

With the completion of SHINee‘s Tokyo Dome concerts on March 14 and 15, SM Entertainment sets another record for itself, placing four of its artists on the Tokyo Dome stage.

SM Entertainment is the only Korean agency that has filled the seats of Tokyo Dome through concerts by four separate groups - TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, and SHINee. To mark this achievement, the entertainment company released an image on March 16 which shows which of their groups performed at which domes with their own concerts in the past six months, not through a agency wide concert, namely SMTOWN.

The image shows that TVXQ performed at five domes - Fukuoka, Osaka, Nagoya, Tokyo, and Sapporo. Super Junior performed at Fukuoka, Osaka, and Tokyo. Girls’ Generation and SHINee have each performed at Tokyo Dome.

SM Entertainment takes pride in this achievement because a “dome concert†is the golden standard of artists performing in Japan. A sold-out dome concert means you have filled around 50,000 seats at one time, a considerable number.

On SHINee’s entrance into the list of Tokyo Dome artists, Universal Music Japan’s CEO, Taku Nakamura, commented, “SHINee’s ability to fill 50,000 seats at once, a difficult feat even for Japanese artists, proves the group’s popularity in Japan. The reason why SHINee is accepted in Japan is because of their vocal skills, dance performance, and individual characters.â€

Congratulations to TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, and SHINee!

Yeah, this is truly impressive~

A dome concert, and especially a Tokyo Dome concert, is like a fan's dream come true, those days are really really special and it's something that I'm happy all four of those fandoms got to experience :)

One day, hopefully soon, EXO will be there as well :rlytearpls:
