KIDS REACT TO VCR/VHS

Lmao. I still have a DVD/VCR and a ton of VCRs that still work.  These video's are amusing and remind me  how old I am lol.

*preparing to feel old af*

I remember when DVDs were just starting to get popular...

Lol I remember when VCRs used to be expensive. My family didn't have one for a long time because of that so my Mother couldn't record my favorite cartoon for me and I just had to wait for the next day to watch it lol.

To be fair most of these kids are like 10 and 10 years ago the VCR was already being outdated by the DVD. Mine is just collecting dust.

I still remember going to Blockbuster and renting games and movies. Always a bitch tho when some movies weren't rewinded  :soul:

Omg yes! Favorite thing to do on the weekend. I'd go out with my family Sat night and then stop  by the Blockbuster and rent a movie or game and you'd take it back Monday night lol.

HA! That was our family tradition too but on Friday's.

I think that's what made me sad to see it go bankrupt because of the nostalgia

Aw yes. Sometimes we would Fri nights but generally we'd go to this particular restaurant and the movie store was across the street so during dinner you'd be like "dadddddd I wanna rent a movie" (or game) and by the end of supper you got to go across the street for the game and you'd buy some candy. It was a really fun part of child hood and I'm sad children of today won't get to experience it in the same way. The quality is definitely better but I miss that. They even had dvds up until the end lol. When Blockbuster was going out the one down the road had a huge buy out of the whole store (even furniture stuff lol) and I found some awesome deals.

I still go to a video store to rent movies but they're getting more difficult to find

I was really sad when Blockbuster refused to expand into the online market until waaaaay too late. They could've been a serious competitor for Netflix and gamefly all in one, but nope.

Seriously they dropped the ball. Now I only see them as an ON DEMAND service and a free trial if you sign up with Dish Network but why would you with Netflix and Amazon or Red box?

I've never tried Gamefly and not sure if they even have it here in Canada. But I agree if that type of service was combined with movie rentals/streaming they really could've been on top.
