Omg i love you kkk. We are usan couple shippers till the end. So sad ghj's character turned out so annoying. I don't think i'll rewatch with subs. I'd rather not know byc's confessions kkkk. I'll happily live in my umbrella couple cloud.

The pds dont even have good individual stories, considering this is a show about producers.

Hyojin is a good actress, but I guess this is her comedy/goof around role, her last few were more on the serious side. yes... we'll just dream about umbrella couple in some other way. haha.

Cindy is freaking awesome in this week episodes especially has to deal with the antis and CEO Byun!!! I love it so much!!! This scene is everything!!! so hardcore!! :datass: :datass: :datass:

no lie, this being the bit*h thing works out for cindy here. the poor girl caught in the crossfire of Cindy and CEO Byun.. kinda effy place to be.

I know rite... BSC initially was a guy you liked and as d story progresses, you are just not into him. I mean how blur or clueless can a law graduate get.. you have to be smart to study law.. he just keeps sending signals like all over the place.. I re-watched ep 10 with subs and basically skipped all the non-cindy related parts (OMG! I am sooo bad.. heheehhe)

I just love3 Cindy and her antis... it was such a funny and cute scene esp her glare towards Roy Kim(maybe I should start shipping them together.. :hurr: )... also love when Cindy starts to retaliate CEO Byun.. she's so cool!

yeah, he flashes in and out of 'intelligence'. it's implied at times through his research and work that involves looking things up. and papers. Stuff that a law kid would do well at. but i think Cindy became the scene-stealer. I feel like the writers are purposely making umbrella couple not happen, like as if it would be more exciting with bsc-tyj or something. but yeah cindy's scenes are getting better. next weekend i guess we'll see what happens. lol

Am looking forward to this week's eps just for Cindy... now it also seems like being a PD, Joon Mo has something hidden...  he seems to know what exactly happen to Yuna and he's not telling... Am curious about it too... Cindy is also curious but no one seems to know... Joon Mo and Yuna is kinda like BSC and Cindy... Yuna seems to like Joon Mo then through the blast from the past memories... If they can unfold that story maybe Joon Mo's character will be interesting and will tie in to his behaviour as a PD... Not enough development for the PDs as of now...

I love Cindy so much. I always have a thing for the bitches that have a soft side, and shows us that soft side but still continues to be a bitch  Cindy's scenes are the ones that I look forward to the most. I used to wish that BSC and Cindy would end up together, but now I just care about Cindy and her career

I love how PRODUCER drama taking jab at entertainment companies bout treatment towards their artists & just using them for their selfish purposes. I mean Cindy, Yuna VS CEO Byun case.

I wonder if they're taking jab at SM. Bestie girl name is Yuna in that drama + SM are famous with their contract problems & cases like JYJ, Hangeng, EXO, Jessica. Just my ridiculous opinion : (Yuna = Jessica, Cindy = Krystal Jung, Jini = Red Velvet)

I hope they touch how KBS are famous of copying other broadcast companies too & the music shows drama lately. Too bad I don't think it will happen.

yeah, Joon Mo seems to know a lot of Yuna, I think he has a guilt factor involved that they haven't shown cuz he convinced her to stand up to CEO. Frankly Joon Mo is the only PD who has anything interesting left on the table storywise for the viewers. It seems only Joon Mo and Chief/Deputy Chief know about this, and this is prolly what created the beef with Joon mo and CEO Byun. BSC-Cindy being like Joon Mo/Yuna seems likely, the whole drama has been about irony so I could see where it comes from, but at most BSC changes/inspires Cindy like Joon Mo did to Yuna, except for now things are more positive for Cindy than say a girl who disappeared 5 years ago.

We just want cindy to be happy. It's prolly gonna be with me. Let me get my umbrella. lol JK... so bitches with a soft side eh, so are you posting in another thread how dating those types of girls have worked out for you? lol. they seem fun on screen, in real life, not all are as cute/adorable, or friendly. lol

lol no. I don't date them, but I like those kind of characters in dramas and movies. They're just more fun to watch when their layers are unraveled.

ah okay. the way you word it made it seem like you date or actively seek girls that are Cindy - types. Minus them being an idol, money. etc. lol

i agree those characters are quite fun. Wasn't that Suzy's character in DH? it's a good theme, and mostly endearing to watch. I mean Secret Garden, the Jerk with the layers? come on... yeah.  But the growth of Cindy is nice. dragged us along all these episodes and then bam. whereas the other characters stayed the same. BSC's crush on TYJ didn't grow his character, i felt like it set his character back. as if he originally was a 'good guy' but then he pursue a gal who likes someone else, and he believes he thinks they like each other. Not saying Joon Mo has 'dibs' or anything, but its a lil rude to go for the girl when you know she likes someone else. Sure it happens all the time, but in the beginning it felt like that his character wasn't that type. and it's been at least 2 months, the gal from ep 1 hasn't returned yet? what kind of Leave is she on? lol. I feel like things be different if she was back in the office too.

Cindy, thanks for taking us along the ride.

damn, this drama is such a let down, what are they doing with the story? and I can't stand Yejin character at all.

oh well, I hate love triangle and it feels like the drama is all about it...

Omg a reply from a legend member! Thanks for the response. (I shorten the quote to save space) lol. I want to enjoy the drama for the pure fun and stupidity of things like how we accepted dramas like Dream High. Thanks for agreeing with me. It's nice to say something about it. I think the show wanted to do a 'mockumentary' thing like Parks and Recreation or The Office but it came off like half-a$$ stuff. Like in Ep3 they blur everything out but the speaker? I didn't get what that was about. Episode 5 had like none of the 'blurs'. So it's strange. The cast to me seems all-star in the leads, a lot could be done.

I agree Cindy's attraction to BSC feels organic, just like how Joonmo and Yejin makes sense - the only unconvincing one is BSC and Yejin because it feel so forced. Love triangles are so annoying. Like why can't we just have people who like each other be together without interference of another person or people who aren't involved with each other at all.

The only character I'm not disliking is Cindy lol.

About the lovelines - I'm wondering if the the problem is that they are rushing everything because there are only going to be 12 episodes. So they don't have time to show the "falling in love/like" stages of BSC and Yejin like they would have it this was the normal 16-24 episodes.

I will definitely watch the rest of the episodes; there's just no motivation of excitement to watch it asap and it's kind of now a chore to do it lol. Let's just say it's near the bottom of my watch list.

I think switching from the variety PD to the drama PD was a bad idea. Whatever freshness and uniqueness the drama had is all gone and has just turned into your typical plotlines. I wonder if he had something to do with the script or if this was the original plot - something feel off about it imo.

In terms of the vision of the show, I think they lost their sense of direction once they changed PDs.

This! So much this!

I was first excited for the show when I heard that it was going to be set in the KBS variety department (variety fan here) and I was one of the few people who actually enjoyed the first two episodes because they felt new & fresh (in terms of K-Drama) and not like all the other K-Dramas I've unsuccessfully tried to watch, but ever since it turned into your run-of-the-mill, cookie-cutter K-Drama fare I couldn't really care less about anything other than Cindy's character development. She's the only interesting thing about the show for me atm & I'd probably only watch a IU/Cindy cut of the show at this point, if it was available.

The show had so much potential in regards to the interesting setting & the great actors, but it has pretty much all been wasted. In a month's time, the only thing I'll still remember from the show will probably be IU/Cindy & her story/development, and that's saying something about how badly this show has been mishandled when you consider that they had Cha Tae Hyun & Gong Hyo Jin for the main roles & pretty much gave them nothing to work with.

/end rant

I admit the first couple of episodes were a bit clunky (like the pacing and camera work) but I think if they had stuck with it they would have worked it out and found a way to make the mockumentary format work.

It's like they were too scared to fully commit to the new direction this drama was trying to go in. I kind of feel like they tricked the cast and that they always planned to switch to a drama PD lol. Like they sold and convinced the cast on this new unique idea and once they got them, quickly turned it back into a normal drama.

They had a killer cast but wasted it so much. What is more frustrating is that with all they had, they ended up with something kind of bland and run of the mill. I would rather they go all out and fail than to end up with something as unremarkable and nondescript as they have now.

True. I think only the ep of 1 night 2 days first shooting was about being producers. The rest is about their mundane lives. I expected most of the producer's scenes to be on the field, but it's mostly in joon mo's house >•<

Even if their final two epis get epic, it can't excuse the dull plots of the prev epis.

Yay, we continue to agree!! Although in regards to time and the 12 episode format. It does seem to run 80 minutes, because if I watch two episodes on DF, i'll have done 2 hours and 20 minutes in the gym. lol. So that explains maybe why it's 12 instead of the typical 16 or 20?? But yes, still feels rushed. I know you considered dropping the drama. BSC-Yejin felt like it was just an on switch, suddenly happened. Whereas Cindy to BSC had like two-three episodes taking up to her realization/actualization. it's bothersome that BSC is kinda an ass and doesn't at least say something to Cindy. He's not the standup guy episode 1-3 had you believe he was. lol

It had potential, but then again 80% of dramas is cookie cutter, and it's they're written and done that makes you watch. Nearly every story of romance ever made can trace back to greek stories or something sheakspeare wrote. Although give IU credit, she's come a long way since Dream High.

I admit the first couple of episodes were a bit clunky (like the pacing and camera work) but I think if they had stuck with it they would have worked it out and found a way to make the mockumentary format work.

I felt like the mockumentary format was nice because it was gonna kill what dramas typically do, having the characters speak/say their thoughts /emotions outloud. with the camera man there, they have a reason. Maybe what happened in the drama happened to the actual production team.. IRONY!!! lol. jk. but they cast was good. Daring even, i mean Joonmo is like 5-8/5-9 and you got Yejin who is at 5-7/5-8, i thought height considerations were a big deal in roles.. I mean Tom Cruise is 5-8, hence he's only paired with leading females who are shorter, or never wear heels. I think they weren't will to take the risk. Parks and Rec and Office didn't have stellar of season 1s. Granted we're coming 30-min sitcom to an 80 minute drama but they had the chance.

Lol, I know... 10 episodes in, and we only seen the PD work in like 2 episodes, and technically two projects. 1st episode of 1night2days, and maybe we can include a little of the music show where cindy got hurt / cindy best friend visit. They didn't plan out how to do the workplace drama... the other drama, misaeng or whatever, with no lovelines, all work. It did well, simple and straight. This is work and this is what it's like. Producers.. what is a PD, what is a writer? Is it just really the PD yelling at everyone below him/her? lol. the strange closet fellow that helps out BSC, seems to be interesting. haha.

me too.. I just watched for IU/Cindy cut... just skip the rest coz they are either going over and over the same old thing/ matter/ problem/ whatever or they just have lil BSC chasing his noona back and forth doing very little PD work... the Pds are just coming to work and discuss bits here and there and then Bamm!!! the chase starts again... weird that they have loads of time on hand to sit at the playground or just keep going out for meals... I thought PDs are very busy... it's quite unrealistic...

I was expecting something like 1N2D kinda concept.. scripted abit but real.. it's supposed to be variety drama.. but this seems like d normal rom-com except only 1 character (Cindy) which is portrayed realistically (a senior did tell IU before that since she's a soloist, the road she's travelling can be a lonely one- something along that line).. there's some potential for Ra PD to be interesting if the writer-nim unravel the layers of his character as he seems to be the only one who actually empathised with Cindy. There's a lot more to him than meet the eye...

The lovelines... just forget about it... let the dongsaeng chase the noona for all I care.. I mean that's practically what BSC is doing for EVERY episode without fail :unimpressed:

Since this week is the last week... Bring it on Cindy!! Combine forces with your antis and fight CEO Byun.. (I love3 Cindy and her antis.. they are sooo cute and hilarious together!)

This drama died the moment they had BSC have a crush on yj out of nowhere.

I know it is weird right.. considering BSC actually had a huge crush on his sunbae that he gave up being a prosecutor and became a PD just so that he can be with her... just how long is that crush?! and then no sign of him trying hard to win his sunbae's heart after her break-up with Joon Mo... then BAMMMM!!! he just simply fall for YJ just like that.. huge question mark there... I mean HUGE crush for years just gone like that.. what kinda a guy is this BSC? Weird :wut:

I like the BSC-Noona couple even if it comes out of nowhere lol but Cindy/BSC gonna be the same since he never gives a sh*t about her, even on her speech and grattitude he get the guts to confess her love for another woman, not to look at Cindy

It's gonna be forced if he fall in love with Cindy since there are 2 episodes left

There's no way Cindy/BSC could happen at this point, unless the PDs decide to go full makjang & make BSC have an accident, lose his memory & have Cindy go full psycho & make him believe that she is his girlfriend. lol

I honestly wouldn't be surprised, though, looking at the recent quality of writing for the show.

I don't really care what happens to the other characters at this point, I just want Cindy to emancipate herself from that CEO, keep growing as a character & live a happy life.

When i saw BSC crush on Yj i knew the show had jump the shark. Im not surprised. I think the writers were thinking more about boosting ratings so they went the cheap way A.K.A insert a forced love triangle. Plus in the begining knetz didn't like IU\Cindy so that prob played into why they had bsc like YJ. And they probably wanted to please the noona's\ajumma's with this BSC X YJ romance since a big portion of knetz liked them...

Just another drama too add in the long list of drama's that lost itself by going for higher ratings, pleasing a select bunch and forgeting about what made the drama great in the first place. Typical really.

Another thing, if BSC had been a female character she would have been bash to high heavens.

I can't tell which episode this happened, 3, 4, or 5? when it just was it super clear it was a crush. I thought he would help joonmo and Yejin get together.. BSC and Joon Mo do okay considering joonmo dated the girl. BSC never mentions it to his boss so he doesn't know that they share that connection. but yeah, his sunbae from school... all those years destroyed in one month? and two months have passed since he started... where is she?

how i wish there was more of creative stuff like the hello counsellor scene and the 'what should we eat for lunch?' preview

so far in between. if the drama went more meta, like the girls detective one, it prolly would have worked. lol

i could see that. wait, why did people not like IU/Cindy in the beginning? that is crazy... knetz are crazy... lol, not like us normal folks.. who talk about it here on onehallyu... we're totally sane... for the most part...
