I don't want no more love lines. pfft enough with the love triangles lol

I think both SC and Cindy are gonna end up alone and YJ and RJM together.

It's a shame ratings goes down on Fridays due to 3 meals a day otherwise the drama would've been on the 15% already.

the Peak ratings is almost at 19% and it's always the random but funny scenes - like the office lady talking to BSC/ Cindy sorting out trash/ the phone conversation b/w Cindy and Yj.. kkkk

tbh, those are my fave parts too^^it's what keeps the drama fun.

I am still so upset after finding out this is not nearly as long running as I thought it would be.  It took me two days just to muster up the strength to watch ep 7, I don't want it to send so soon!!!!

I loved how aggressive Cindy has gotten.  Ok, you don't notice me, let me make you notice me.  Still don't see me?  Fine.  Let's forget about it....or maybe I'm not ready to give in just yet.  It's all up to her, she isn't just sitting there and letting it slip away.  LOVE that.

Go Ara was really nice to see, and I liked her vide message to Cindy.  It was a touching, but believable.  I also liked how Yejin and Cindy seem almost friendly now.  It's turning out really nicely and I don't want the end to come.

I really think that Tak Ye Jin x Baek Seung Chan will happen even if i don't want it. I really don't see any romance and she just treats him like a little brother. But in the last episode it was obvious cause he was so happy to go on his "date" with ye jin. Then when Cindy called it's kinda like he doesn't care. If you don't take cindy I will find someone more deserving for her. hopefully not joon mo but who knows what the writer has in store for us.

So finally started watching the show - up to episode 5 now. I don't like anyone lol - everyone is annoying

I don't like the fumbling nature of BSC. KSH keeps weirdly screwing up his lips I guess to portray the character as bashful, cute pabo or something, but it's just so strange and distracting to me.

IU acting was kind of bad in the beginning because she was just acting bored and speaking slowly/under her breath with sleepy eyes. I agree Cindy is not meant to be bitchy but rather apathetic and jaded but how it was portrayed was kind of laughable and amateurish. But when she's out of the mumbling/idgaf/fml phase and speaks clearly I like her character and how she plays it.

I can't believe people crying over lack of Umbrella couple in ep5 onwards  :imstupid:. From the way people made it seem I thought that they had mutually shown some interest in each other or something. Instead BSC is rightly so only focused on his work hasn't shown the slightest interest in her. There isn't even a friendship establsihed yet people are crying over a connection that has yet not happened. She is intrigued by him and his aloofness and is now only starting to fall in like so why are people so invested like it some epic romance has played out lol.

I find TYJ the most annoying; I don't think I've liked any of her scenes. RJM is just ok and kind of just there.

Overall I find the BSC/TYJ/RJ plotline very contrived and out of place; they are always finding excuses to bring BSC/TYJ together. We should be seeing BSC with his colleagues and other writers a lot more than him and TYJ. Like they is no reason for them to have so much interaction even if she does owe him money.

Also they kind of half-assed the mockumentary style they wanted to go for; which is a shame because it would have been interesting. They clearly just gave up trying and are only carrying it on here and there just for continuity with the first couple of episodes.

All in all it's OK not bad but a missed opportunity. I don't particularly find any of the characters likeable or even worthy of much emotion; I probably like Cindy the most out of everyone but that's not saying much. I wish this was just about BSC being a rookie pd and him interacting with his peers and colleagues. TYJ/RJM being the bickering some couple and the emancipation Cindy. Forcing them all together is the big problem here imo.

^^^ kk we probably gave you too much to expect lol

For me, ep 4, 6 and 7 were the best; there's a reason why cindy acts that way; and tyj has only started to become likable on ep 7 ; I still don't care much for Cth (but I like him); I love ksh's characterization tho..

Warning if you ever look at other places: The ship wars in this drama is intense lol

My only concern about this drama is that for a drama that sort of lectures on "production" it's actually pretty poorly produced! Some episodes feels too long and the pace could be faster but oh well. The drama quickly fell into any other format.. Due to negative feedback probably.

It's definitely the drama I'm enjoying the most tho.

Gong Hyo Jin (48%, 2915 votes)
IU (52 vites, 3202 votes)

1. [+621, -398] It feels like he's dating an aunt if it's with Gong Hyo Jin. I vote for IU

3. [+507, -312] He looks better with IU

4. [+64, -14] I ship him and Gong Hyo Jin more,,, Don't know why but my heart flutters when they're together~~

5. [+49, -33] Gong Hyo Jin

6. [+48, -21] It's more fun when he's with Gong Hyo Jin~

7. [+45, -19] I hope he ends up with Ye Jin

8. [+44, -17] Tak Ye Jin  â™¡ Baek Seung Chan

9. [+37, -19] Cha Tae Hyun needs some love too so, it should be Cha Tae Hyun - Gong Hyo Jin and Kim Soo Hyun -IU. It would be so sad if the drama ends as just a one-sided love for IU

This drama has been enjoyable. I had some chuckles here and there. It's not revolutionary or a standout but so far fun, but a bit disappointing too. I have to assume there will be some spoilers and everyone is caught up a bit?

I started the drama while at the gym to get through a long/slow burn of cardio. I ended up at the gym longer than I wanted to on that stair stepper watching. Seung-Chan is likable and that's to be expected, at least from a viewer standpoint. I do like Seung-Chan and Cindy and hope they become something. Although, I may need to go back and re-watch episodes 1-8... because when did Seung-Chan get/develop a crush on Ye jin, how/why? At first I thought he was being a nice guy and trying to set things right and working to get Yejin and Joon Mo together or something... but I was wrong about that.

And I feel like Seung-Chan is the character the viewers are suppose to track into the most, cuz he's the rookie PD on the team. So he's stated as a guy who went to a good school, graduated from a good program, good family (most part).. He was a stickler about the umbrella thing, which because it would cost him money from his paycheck. Got it, understandable. He isn't easily impressed/phased by Cindy and her status. But

how come there isn't anything mentioned about how she still has his book, hat and headphones from the first shoot. (i'm assuming the headphones, but the book clearly seems to be his). The girl he crushed over is the reason he's in variety let alone KBS. And it's cliche that's ironic how Cindy likes him and he has no clue. Or how that first kiss of his, again i'm going by what he said, seems implied it's his first, and how he hasn't responded to Cindy. Those moments he rants/lectures/whatever you want to call it to Joon Mo and Yejin, you'd think he'd know better than to leave a girl hanging. He bashes Joon Mo for it but basically does it too, right? Everyone loves irony.

No one else I know is watching so this is the only place i can type it out and rant a bit. sorry guys. lol

I'm in the process of rewatching Answer Me 1994 , so seeing Go Ara was kinda cool and nice. she's aca-awesome.

I agree with a lot of your points. The issue I'm having with the love lines is that there is no real inception of when BSC's if/when feelings started to develop for either Cindy or Yejin so it makes rooting for either couple hard for me. That's honeslty why I don't get the hype for Umbrella couple when he hasn't shown any real interest in Cindy; aside from feeling slightly sorry for her he's never seen her more than just a person.

About the books/headphone vs. umbrella - I guess maybe because the book/headphones are his won possession and he gave it away he doesn't feel the same urgency as he does with the umbrella which was not only his but would also cost him money the longer it was left unreturned.

I don't buy into his feelings for Yejin either. I'm only up to ep5. but so far I don't see any real interest he might have in her. Also it's her that is always randomly seeking him out and forcing some kind of interaction with him when otherwise he would (and should) be with other people.

I actually find BSC whole premise of being at KBS just for that girl flawed too. Not only is it ridiculous (but this is a drama lol), but considering that he changed his whole career and life for her he doesn't do much in trying to get her or even think about her. They've had like what 2 interactions? And even after finding out that she has broken up with Joonmo he doesn't even try to win her or get her to notice him. I know in the pilot he said that he gives up on things if they are not going anywhere but it's seems pretty far fetched and ridiculous that a guy who left law for her wouldn't even make any sort of attempt and would give up at the drop of a hat. That whole premise is pointless imo - they should have just made him a rookie pd without forcing that kind of background detail into it when they are not even going to use it.

I also agree that it's not revolutionary; they were trying something different but gave up on it early on and just ended up with an OK drama. I think that's what is most disappointing. I would rather they have stuck with their original concept and for it to flop than this which is just near on mediocre. There was so much potential. Hopefully I enjoy the rest of series but I'm struggling to find the energy or interest to even watch ep.6 lol.

Omg a reply from a legend member! Thanks for the response. (I shorten the quote to save space) lol. I want to enjoy the drama for the pure fun and stupidity of things like how we accepted dramas like Dream High. Thanks for agreeing with me. It's nice to say something about it. I think the show wanted to do a 'mockumentary' thing like Parks and Recreation or The Office but it came off like half-a$$ stuff. Like in Ep3 they blur everything out but the speaker? I didn't get what that was about. Episode 5 had like none of the 'blurs'. So it's strange. The cast to me seems all-star in the leads, a lot could be done.

i rewatched Ep 1-5 so I could be up to where you are to made sound/knowledgeable contribution. I watched this at the gym again, but this time paid closer attention. You stopped at 5, I don't want to be that guy but you should keep watching. the two BSC 'love-lines' expand more in ep 6-8.

We both agree that BSC is a confusing character. He flashes in between like-able and dunce. We know he's both overqualifed and under-qualified for the PD job. He shows his flashes of book smarts that got him through law/college. But we know he can be pity. I have to say currently as it's written, this is Kim Soohyun's worst character he's play. Not saying the guy's ability, but just the character written. Him being at KBS is pretty outrageous, that's why it's only TV right? lol. I think him just being a rookie PD would have made sense too, but they may have to change his college background. They needed him to be the tragic guy who risked it for love, that was never there giving a bad image to all FA and FZ guys out there. I mean he look like he was still into that girl after he found out the news and you're right, nothing was acted on it. WTF dude? If not, why stay at KBS? Your parents have enough money to support while you can take ur amazing resume back to law. lol, then we have no drama to watch.

Yejin and BSC is just plain weird. I don't get it at all. Is this a 'Hot for Teacher Thing'? (all you 80/90s kids know lol). Like, why did he take the pancakes after the drinking session? I haven't seen anything to explain why he likes her? Because this love-line is currently one-sided but should disappear. You have two talented actors here but this on-screen loveline feels so weird and out of nowhere. It's not organic. Did the writers want it to seem forced? Is that why we see it that way? And you're right, she always interact with him first. Joonmo is a hard to like character as well. In my sassy girl he was the 'adorkable' guy. dorkly adorable. here he's drama cliche douchebag-good-guy-at-heart type. the acting is solid, don't hate a guy for working with what's given to him. Joonmo knows he likes Yejin too though, I think. he purposely friendzones himself but always runs to her if she needs it though. Joonmo's failure to respond/act/reply to Yejin's advances is also ironic because BSC does the same thing to Cindy. And the only reason BSC gave for the first girl is that 'she's pretty'. Cindy is pretty, and into him, that's a pretty solid deal.

Cindy's love-line is simpliest to pick up on. Soohyun and IU were in Dream High together but I don't think that's relevant for this love-line. The irony of Cindy's love line is that she goes to the show to show her personable side, but for the viewer it's her infatuation and crush on BSC that makes her personable. It's cliche-ish in a way but I accept it and i see it. It makes sense just like Yejin/Joon Mo does. IU isn't as talented as the other cast leads (but imo she's gotten better with each role) but at least her attraction to BSC feels organic. It's cheesy (we're all watching kdramas expecting some cheese) and cliche, that the guy held her attention, impressed her in ways she's never seen before (ie talk back to her boss). The book, hat and headphones must come into play again later.Once you catch up, you'll see he's kinda acting like Joonmo in regards to Cindy, I think. I mean he can pick up on Yejin's feelings for Joonmo but not Cindy's? How does Yejin doesn't see it, it's something she would boast about. He's been a good guy in the beginning, i mean that's why the umbrella happened in the first place? So after their trip, he realizes he's into Yejin? I expect more development there for the final four episodes.

Thanks for the response. Catch up and watch. That way I can have something to type about this with. LOL.

Yeah I cried watching Cindy yesterday.. especially when she's singing "HEART"... it's really sad.. not abt BSC but when they showed her walking through CEO Byun and the new girl's intro crowd... She sort of like know she has reached the top and there will come a time for her to go downhill but CEO Byun is just soooo annoyingly cruel... I find the new girl annoying also... Hope Cindy will get true friends and be happy.. she should seriously escape from CEO Byun's clutches...
