**SPOILERS**

GYDDR4f.jpg

1. [+6177,-380] Do you have to cuss in order for it to be hip hop???? I…. was uncomfortable

2. [+4812,-118] It seemed like the producers forced them to diss each other

3. [+4294,-167] They asked them to rap and yet they’re cussing and fighting and going crazy

4. [+2961,-234] All variety show shoots are full of swearing so..

(TN: In reference to Lee Taeim and Yewon’s recent fight on set of a variety show.)

5. [+2472,-1073] Miryo should’ve been on the show, not Jimin

6. [+595,-14] This kind of diss shouldn’t have been done on television… Why did Meta put up against the two of them when they were just fine doing nothing… This was definitely the writer’s orders. If not, I really don’t get it… Honestly, if they really wanted to fight, they would’ve fought a long time ago, not wait until now.. It’s definitely to increase the ratings.. I really don’t get why they made two rappers who failed the first mission anyway go up against each other…

7. [+440,-13] I don’t know why those who do hip hop only cuss. Yoon Mirae doesn’t cuss, and yet she’s still plenty cool and can rap really well

8. [+451,-27] If Lee Taeim was there, it would’ve been peaceful

9. [+415,-21] Are all Korean hip hop people ill?

10. [+343,-15] Do you look cooler if you diss? Why do they keep doing disses?

1. [+4730,-560] Ah, I really hate Jolly V..

2. [+3608,-329] All that cussing made it uncomfortable. Jolly V did better in the diss battle, but I end up support Tymee more

3. [+3517,-308] If I was Tymee, I’d hate Jolly V acting like that too

4. [+2380,-272] It was fun, but Jolly V and Tymee, do you think hip hop is about dissing each other using personal insults? Was a diss always about an attack on someone else’s character? Jolly V, you shouldn’t rub salt on other people’s wounds~ Tymee, other than that one diss about Jolly V’s vocalization and pronunciation, everything was about her appearance.. Still, Tymee’s from a young age been doing underground rap. She has been through a lot, and she’s got those extra years of experience. Please show us a better side. Also, writers? You fucking shits~ The show is fun, but don’t rip apart people’s hearts

5. [+1289,-54] I do agree that Jolly V is making hip hop dirty. It seemed like Kisum was influenced by Jolly V’s diss song or something because she said something about Jessi being from Itaewon.. Why would she mention that? I think it’s messed up to dig deeper into other people’s weaknesses and insecurities like that

6. [+768,-56] If you didn’t know anything, you’d think Tymee was a psycho. But if you knew the truth, you’d hate Jolly V ㅋㅋ

7. [+745,-48] Honestly, if I was Tymee, I would have been pissed too. It seemed like she didn’t even want to associate with Jolly V…

8. [+745,-76] Jolly V’s rap was so trashy and shameful. I really hate her square jaw

9. [+673,-34] Jolly V is one of the rappers who are ruining the culture of dissing. She doesn’t even have the skills to be a wannabe. Even her motives for dissing are wrongㅋㅋㅋ She just wants to get her name known ㅋㅋ

10. [+631,-24] ‘both hurt’? Only Tymee got hurt. And Tymee is the only one who has to be patient. The two of them are in different situations. Tymee was trying to forget a situation that made her want to commit suicide. Jolly V is doing whatever it takes to bring that pain back again.

But Jessi's from New Jersey though...

And I have to agree with some of the comments about going too far in diss battles, in particular because this is a televised broadcast, not just some street battle. I said this on another thread earlier, but in the last battle, when Jolly V said something about pulling out a dick and cumming on Kisum, I really thought that was disgusting and not cool at all. It wasn't even a personal dig at Kisum, it was just damn gross and explicit for no reason. Lost a lot of respect for Jolly V for that one. I get that this is hip hop, but it's also a variety show, you know. Some things should be saved for off camera. I also kind of agree with the cussing thing. I can tolerate and understand a fuck you or shit here and there for emphasis, but when like every other word is a cuss, i get really annoyed.

I'm definitely missing some juicy info, holy shat what did Jolly V say that almost made Tymee commit suicide? Can someone fill us (or me) in? What's the "truth" knetz are talking about?

Tymee has so much built up anger towards Jolly V always nagging at her, you can tell. I mean I don't agree with her body shaming, but Jolly V isn't exactly innocent with her lyrics either..

Jolly V really irks me mainly because at first I thought she was chill. But after her dissing KittiB and Tymee I lost a lot of respect for her. Unpretty Rapstar kinda made her bug me even more. I like her as a rapper but as person...eh.

I don't know the entire context, but I know that Tymee went through a lot with her previous company when she was promoting as E.via. The agency didn't treat her well, stole her money, and changed her sound. Her Wikipedia article about it is pretty rough to read: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tymee. Jolly V in her diss track dissed how Tymee had sold her soul and wasn't a true hip hop artist.

What made OkJoo depressed was her battle with her previous company. They weren't paying her and basically forced her out and took her stage name (E.via) and all her music away from her. In the words of OkJoo herself, when she threatened to leave they threw objects at her and cruelly made fun of her and her character. She was lost for a time and then Outsider offered her a place in his label (that man knows talent when he sees it). She hasn't made a proper comeback ever since, she only has released a couple of songs digitally, but one can she has still not completely recovered.

Jolly V loves to bring up her unfortunate situation every single time in her "disses", kicking her while she is down.

Jolly V posted a full translation of her rap. The subs were wrong (they translated her lines literally)

Anyway, I didn't know Tymee went through all of that :omg: the Poor girl :horror:

At least Knetz are supporting her (kinda) :)

This show needs to tone down on the scripting though

The subs were wrong for Jolly V's rap battle against Kisum and she clarified that they were double entendres but they weren't supposed to be translated like that.

But it wasn't translated wrong... I read her little "explanation" and she meant to say that Kisum didn't have a dick, and she meant to say she was going to shoot cum on Kisum. still gross. I don't care if she meant it to be a metaphor or whatever, what came out of her mouth is still what came out of her mouth and I didn't appreciate it at all.

By Itaewon, Kisum meant that she should stick in that area because Itaewon is a city primarily inhabited and visited by foreigners in Korea. Basically, Kisum started off her Jessi diss with "Why are you always rapping in English when no one understands?" and then finished it with the Itaewon line.

Yeah, i got that. That's why I was side-eyeing the comment because they didn't get it.

I read the original article. It was not translated the best. The comment said "She shouldn't have brought up Itaewon." not because of her "foreigness" but because of this incident that occurred at Itaewon.

I forgot all about the assault case...
