Lmao I stopped watching PLL after season 3 because the show is a complete fucking mess

Can't stop laughing at this.

But apparently this season at the last eps (it's 2-3 eps away), the show will reveal either Big A or some major clue to who could it be.

this is the best season is awhile...

i don't understand people who complain about answers.... as long as a show is providing you content that allows you to draw your own conclusions and create suspense....why do you need massive reveals?

Western culture likes action and to be walked through everything. It's why none of my friends like japanese horror/supernatural films...they say they are too slow and boring. This show doesn't come with an answer sheet every episode so people get annoyed i guess.

I personally enjoy buildup... if they don't reveal things until the last episode of the series i won't care, as long as it all makes sense in the end.

No I think it is more about the fact that we didn't give the answers for long time - it was in season 1 when Ali puched Ian off the tower but we got this answer when they finally revealed Ali is alive.

Or for example this scene when a lot of As arrived and it was supposed to be super scary but it made a lot of people laugh.

For me it is also annoying that they throw unnecessary character in the show and after that they just kill them off or just forgot about this character.

And main characters don't have common sense -only Spencer and sometimes Hanna.

Now I am focused on finding out who is gay more than A, lol.

....i don't think anything was meant to be scary...

it was meant to be....what it was... confusing for the girls and a distraction.

Every character introduced in PLL has been a necessary plot device, recurring, or become regular... with the exception of maybe one or two love interests from the earliest seasons.

To complain about lack of common sense...in a thriller... is akin to complaining about the everyone splitting up in a horror film...or running into the woods... or opening locked door. If they didn't do these things... nothing would happen.

Also... i'm confused... we knew immediately that A pushed Ian off the tower. Ofc we don't find out exactly who it was until they decide to reveal exactly who it was... but i don't really see how that's an issue...being that, you were not supposed to know finitely that there were factions with different agendas, that Ali was alive and looking out for the girls... etc etc....and when we do discover that...the point is to go back and try to decipher who was responsible for what. People who don't want to do a lot of thinking and theorising and 'pixel hunting' on their own, typically get very bored/frustrated by this show i think.

I think PLL has done a fantastic job elongating storylines, introducing characters that you are meant to be supicious of, not being predictable, and avoiding plot holes. *shrug* to each their own though. People had the same complaints about LOST... question > answer shows don't appeal to everyone.
