Is it a fact murder is wrong, or an opinion?

I had this argument with someone about how, nothing is an opinion and that something is always wrong or right (dumb bitch i know)
The person went on to say, that deep inside everyone thinks murder is bad, same with abortion.

so do you think it's true that no matter what in social issues there is always a right or wrong, not an opinion?

There are almost always gray areas. But when there are other options besides hurting someone and taking away their right to live, and you don't take them, you're certainly in the wrong.

Murder means killing with malice thought, so thats different from self defense.

But thats not the point of this topics, its about if its naturally wrong to murder or if it's an opinion made by humans.

It's an opinion formed by humans because they developed the idea it was wrong. As man evolved, the structure of morality was build because bonds were built, spreading from family, to neighbor to country. I think murder is 'natural' in some ways, as in survival of the fittest and self-defense, but humans have progressed to a point where, any other reason besides the listed, murder is unsupported.

I completely agree with this.

Some of you are missing the point. She's not asking whether or not killing is okay in some circumstances and whatnot. Read the question more carefully:

Is it a fact murder is wrong, or an opinion?

so do you think it's true that no matter what in social issues there is always a right or wrong, not an opinion?

Stay on topic.

Murder is premeditated, planned. It's not even killing due to a sudden outrage of emotion where you might not be able to control yourself.

So I think not. Innocent people who are dearly loved by family and friends could be victims and that's not in any way bring justice to this matter.

It's an opinion.

When humans started to get and live together, they established some rules, like here to do not kill each other, they decided on their behalf to forbid killing. That was their opinion.

An opinion. Our concept of "right and wrong" generally evolved from opinions. That said, obviously there are also people who disagree with what society's norm considers morally right/wrong. Those people are probably half insane. To answer an irrelevant question; mindless killing IS wrong. There is no excuse to justify taking another person's life just for the hell of it.
