Just curious.

In my country (I live in Singapore at the mo), the majority major clothing retailers generally stock up to US10 (EU40) for women. Sometimes you'll see a raaaaare US12 (EU42) but i don't think I've seen anything beyond that tbh. And tbh a EU40(US10) would be considered XL, so I was shocked when I lived in the U.S. where US10 is an M from what I saw.

For men, I think it's up to EU43/44 (US17?). Not super certain whether I got the sizing measurements for men right though.

Technically it's supposed to be anything US 12 and over, but most people I think would say US 16 in the US now... personally I think 12 is appropriate as the cut off though.

depends in America :/ places like Hollister/Abercromie [Where I worked and Shopped] Didnt carry past size 10 or a L

Hmm.. Hollister goes pass a size 10 cause I tried on some pants there but they were too long and I wear 13.

But from what I've seen in plus size stores like Lane Bryant, Ashley Stewart, and Forever 21 a 12 is plus sized but their 12's are too big for me and I can fit a size 10 in some stuff so it depends on the store really.

Every store's numbers are a bit different.  Actually, make that very different, if you compare the size I wear at H&M compared to Garage (a canadian chain).  I think the general one is size 12 or size 14 for women.  I don't know the sizing for men tho

I live in Europe, and I think plus-sized is EU42 (US12) or above.

I think clothes in my country are labeled like this most of the time:

EU34 = XS
EU36 = S
EU38 = M
EU40 = L
EU42 = XL

EU44 = XXL

etc.

It's hard to find clothes bigger than XXL.

in china probably like a M or L is worthy of a "fat" label.
i get judged by people all the time whenever i visit and i'm a size 1  :donthinkso:

but i live in the U.S. so probably a size 16 and above

WOAH, maybe they have changed THANK god I feel its hard to find a size because it doesn't mean your big you can be really tall.. I'm short and its really hard to find jeans that fit me :/ without covering my feet

Hey fellow Singaporean, I once shopped at Marks and Spencers and saw that they do stock up to size 14US for their blouses~

Just curious.

Yeah tbh asian standards get me down AF tbh. Size 1 is not even anywhere remotely fat, are you sure they aren't just jealous?!

it depends with your gender as well ...

I like a woman with some meat on them ...

But people of larger size have pretty errr marbled meat if you know what I mean, it's usually not toned

I agree, I don't think artitdues towards weight should be revised upward, if not being larger sizes are just going to be normalized. Imagine the healthcare costs and impacts on family members omg.

I think here plus size is like US12+

But tbh most clothes are made in sizes 2, 4 and 6. And they're the ones that get sold the fastest.

Also size L is fat here. :smile:

Omg so I'd be in the upper range of the average even there too omg :wtf:

i think in sweden we've p much always got sizes up to 44, and then sometimes you find up to 48. so a plus size section would be... 50+? it's a bit dubious

let's not talk about bra sizes though lol finding D+ cups is an adventure on its own
