The great debate for any housewife!

So I'm currently designing a room for a project, and I can't decide whether I want Hardwood Floors or Carpet. I know this might not seem a big deal for most people, but think about it, your feet will be touching the ground every time you decide to leave your miserable, sunk in bed, to go and pee! JK!  :ohbi:

Keep in mind a few things.

  • This is a Bedroom!
  • I want your own personal opinions. What would you want in your own room? etc.
  • I am not designing this for anyone in particular, it's just workshop, so no "it depends on the person"
  • Again I want YOUR onion

Begin!

Hardwood with a large area rug. You get the best of both worlds. If you cant do that, just do carpet with hardwood underneath. Carpets in bedrooms just make sense.

I like this idea, since hardwood floors can be salvaged after years of use, but carpet tend get destroyed and overall gross after a few years.

HARDWOOD

Hardwood + rugs!!

Carpet is not worth the price. It must be replaced every few years, and with everyone room re-design, or it will drag down the value of the house. Hardwood, linoleum or tile keeps it's value.

YES! I love your answer!

I don't think so.

Hard wood floor get starches easily, so heel, pets or furniture can mark them and create dents. Also you can't get them wet and direct sunlight can fade them sometimes. I think Laminate is sturdier tbh.

That's the one I have right now

I like it too, but the colors are a bit....questionable
