Media outlets reported on February 25 that YG has not renewed their contract with the singer after he was discharged from his mandatory military service.

Previously, Se7en was discharged from the military in December of 2014. YG was reported to have helped with his discharge ceremony and press conference, despite their contract being expiredTheir contract expired in April of 2013, while Se7en was serving duty.

According to news outlets, Se7en and YG met at the beginning of this year to discuss renewing their contract. Although they were on good terms, it seems that they decided to not extend their contract for the benefit of both parties.

One source commented, â€œSince Se7en currently does not have an agency, it seems YG was looking after him. Since he is no longer an artist under the agency, they probably won’t be able to help him directly, but it seems they’ll try to help him behind the scenes.†

According to various articles YG and Se7en had shown affection towards each other throughout the Lunar New Year, but it has been agreed that renewing the contract would not be in the best interest for either party. Se7en didn’t seem to want to put pressure on the agency, and the agency also wanted Se7en to be given more chances at making his comeback sooner, which they could not guarantee with so many artists’ comebacks or debuts already lined up this year.

Se7en’s acquaintance told the media, “Se7en has been traveling and getting plenty of rest. Because he had been through a lot, it seems he still needs some time for himself. It seems he’ll look into finding an agency after that.â€

woo I am surprised :imstupid: whatever happen to YG family

Not a fan of this "YG Family" thing but reading the OP, I can say "YG Family" really does exist.

I can't believe YG would actually still help him even with no legal obligation to do so..

Usually, in industries like this (even at my workplace), once contract is over, the former employer would go only as far as referral or recommendations, but YG actually helped him a lot afterwards.
