SO FAR SO GOOD !

I'm so happy

Joon has been getting good reviews so far. Lots of people has been falling for him. Haha #TeamInHo ;) second lead syndrome ftw

People doubted Joon when it was announced that he will be Baek In Ho, but I was the opposite of that. I never doubted him for a second. I was really happy because I just knew he'll match Baek In Ho well.. and I trust that he'll work hard for it. And he did! :')

He has proven that there's nothing wrong with his acting and shut a lot of mouth for now...

Now it's up to the writer whether she wants to give In ho wings to fly, or bury him 6 feet under. I'm hoping for the wings of course. He doesn't have to get the girl. He just have to remain likeable and memorable as in these few episodes. I'm sure Joon's career will soar into the sky after this. This is the best role he's ever got so far. I'm sl happy I'm right :rlytearpls:

I am OBSESSED with this drama!!!!!!!!!

Kangjun is literally knocking it out of the park too. He's getting great reviews on his performance.

This is a great time to be alive for a Kangjun stan lol.

Also, I haven't read the webtoon, but does anyone else kinda want her to end up with Baek In Ho? I like both of the male leads, but I feel like she's more human when she's with In Ho. So, for now, I kinda prefer her with In Ho.

A LOT of people want her to end up with In Ho tbh. Jung will get weirder in the future. and there's no telling who will Sul end up with even at this far in the manhwa. Maybe the drama writer will change few things after this.

ONE Mag didn't release all the pictorials, sadly, I'm still looking for clearer HQ pics as well but they're nowhere to be found, I'm relying on kfans....

Thank you. I'm still searching too, I hope we'll find them :)

Sinister Panda: After watching his dramas and movies I was sure he will be able to protray Inho too

210773ep040601.jpg

Overall, how he's portraying Inho might be a little different than in the webtoon, he's less violent and being cuter, but I'm surprisingly surprised by his version of Inho. Thanks to his acting and the drama version I'm able to like this character and understand him more. Well in the webtoon we don't know much about him though.
I love Jung's character in the webtoon because he is more interesting to analyse but in the drama though, I'm sorry Jung but I love Inho and Seol scenes so much! Everytime they are together they are just so cute. I love their interactions, it's refreshing and he is always there and trying to make her smile when she is down. Yes, almost all their scenes together aren't in the webtoon but thanks to the writer I can enjoy watching Inho and Seol having cute scenes together so I won't complain, rather I'll always thanks the writer :D Plus I get to see Kang Joon's amazing acting and being adorable.
I love thoses scenes so much I don't even know how many time I replayed them :lub:

Aaaah He were so sweet trying to make her smile while making paper planes and having fun running in the rain.

(how do you post videos? I can't do it properly ;_; )

There are so many cute scenes of them together but the funny ones were so good too. I laughed so hard with the "grandma" clothes.

The scene with all his posters in the academy was so funny. In the webtoon, there was only one photo. But of course I won't complain ^^

I was wondering, the shooting of the drama will end this week or next and there is still no news about a new project for Kang joon, does that mean he will finally be able to rest and prepare for his new project? It will be great if it's the case :) Hope he will gain 2 or 3 kilos too, he's so skinny.

Seol has a nice chemistry with both of them, I'm neither #teamJung nor #teamInho for now, I'm more in-between lel, tho I have to admit that InHo & Seol interactions in ep 4 made my heart flutter  :rlytearpls:  they honestly look so good together, he's by far the only one (including Bora and Euntaek) who made her burst into laughers, ugh they're so shippable ;_;

I'm glad he's getting lots of positive reviews and praises for his acting, ngl but I honestly doubted him, I've been blinded by all the negative comments he got during 'Hwajung' era and I thought he wouldn't pull off such a character, talk abt being braineless /sigh/

hopefully the writer won't fuck up InHo's character for the sake of Seol & Jung relationship & their shippers, that would be cruel af and would def ruin the drama for me. I can tell 'CITT' will do wonders for kangjoon, no wonder he was so confident with the drama.

I didn't read the webtoon but apparently the actors interpreted the roles on their own, which explains the slight differences of the characters between the webtoon and drama version. InHo is rather adorable in the drama, meanwhile (as some claimed) he was annoying in the webtoon, I'll make sure to read it later (I have to) so I can make my own comparison, all I can tell is that kangjoon is pulling off InHo amazingly, I'm very satisfied, his interactions with Seol are so enjoyable, the rain scene was so heart-fluttering, the (( She laughed )) scene made me squeal, I've replayed that scene for nearly 10 times It's so beautiful, I think he's already falling for Seol, sadly he'd get rejected, for sure, the 2nd lead syndrome is too strong this time oh my

yess @/fantagio please let him rest ;_; he's so skinny, and I noticed he looks even skinnier in 'CITT', I want to feed him lots of healthy food and make sure he's eating...

I wonder what kind of project he's gonna do next, perhaps a movie? or probably another drama...

Thank you so much Born to stan KangJoon!  I'll reply later.

I just saw this and I don't know if I must be happy or not. (I nearly had a heartattack when I saw the name of the drama "Monster", I thought it was an adaptation of the manga)

http://www.soompi.com/2016/01/15/seo-kang-joon-in-talks-to-play-lead-in-new-drama-with-hwang-jung-eum/

Well, I'm glad he will be the lead this time :rlytearpls:  BUT What's this drama about? I'm not sure I will like it but it's not a rom-com at least so It's a good thing.

Anyways, it's not sure yet.

Strange, I was just mentionning him not having new project then it happens.

is it by any chance a Sa..geuk? and It's a 50 ep-drama........ oh boy I honestly wish he'd decline it if, but obviously he won't bc fantagio /sigh/ I love Hwang JungEum and I'd like to see her working with kangjoon but he has just finished filming 'CITT', a 50ep-drama would be so tiring, I lowkey like the storyline, It sounds interesting, I wonder why Jo SeungWoo rejected the offer tho.. but why did they choose kangjoon he's way too young for the character, even SeungGi himself turned down the offer, people were doubting he'd actually pull off the role, how come kangjoon who's much less experienced and arguably still considered as a Rookie actor would pull off such a role, praying kangjoon would reject it asap /crossedfingers/ I don't need another tragedy as 'Hwajung', this drama is meant for a Veteran versatile actor.

About the new drama "Monster", I found some articles about it and it seems it's not a sageuk BUT " The drama's story spans 20 years beginning in 1997 during the IMF crisis".

Again, like in Hwajung and Kang Joon said it was hard portraying a man in his forties, poor him. Can they stop offering him roles of older guy? I just can't understand why everyone think he looks older, he may look more mature but to me he looks like any other 22 years old kid. (I don't know the actors you mentionned but I checked and they are way older than him)

http://www.kdramastars.com/articles/112268/20160115/seo-kang-joon-is-considering-hwang-jung-eum-melodrama.htm

http://www.dramabeans.com/2016/01/mbcs-tyrant-gets-renamed-monster-still-looking-for-a-leading-lady/

But after knowing more about the story, it looks really interesting, plus it's a leading role this time and a melodrama. (Born to stan KangJoon, wasn't it one of your dream?)

It's not sure yet so let's wait and see.

I would have prefer for him to be casted in a good movie...But I know, It's just a dream

I didn't read the webtoon but apparently the actors interpreted the roles on their own, which explains the slight differences of the characters between the webtoon and drama version. Yes all the actors interpretations are a bit different than the characters in the webtoon but it's ok because it's more realistic. The only one whose acting is too different is Inha, I think the actress wanted to do a good job but it's too much. When she's with th other actors who are acting more naturaly, she's even more weird. And she is more annoying in the drama...

I too found Inho annoying mainly because of him being so violent in the webtoon but although he changed later he isn't as adorable as how Kang Joon's portaying him in the drama.

I honestly really like how Kim go-eun and Kang Joon are portaying the characters because they are more likable that way and all the scenes of Inho they added with or without Seol help us to understand him more.

And of course, thanks to that we can see Kang Joon more :stare:

With Inho being so sweet, I'm not surprise by people having 2nd male lead syndrome ^^

I don't want to spoil so I'll stop here. But yes, you should read the webtoon to understand it more because I think they cut lots of important scenes and it's really fast pace (well it's understandable with just 16 episodes though).

Born to stan KangJoon, thanks again for your reply and your opinions.

Yes about Hwajung, I also lost interest when King Injo took the throne. If it wasn't for Kang joon, I probably wouldn't have finished it but I'm glad I did because I've liked his sons.
That's right the kid actors were really good, I enjoyed their acting. I really like the actress who played the princess when she was a kid too.
I watched "Taxi" though I understand nothing. But then I read this article and I felt so sorry for him ;_; In my last post, I said I hope it didn't affect him but it really did. Poor Kang Joon, it must have been so hard for him to finish the shooting of Hwajung. He must have been relieved when it was finally over. I'm really glad he didn't end up quitting or in depression but like you said, I guess his members and staff were there for him when he needed.
Well, now I understand why he was so happy to be casted to portray Inho and when shooting the drama. I read in an article, he said it feels like "he isn't going to work but to play with Kim go-Eun". Yes, he is right, it really feels like it based on the 4 episodes and you can clearly see he's enjoying himself while acting. He also said in the CITT press conference "he didn't try to be Baek Inho but tried really hard to find the Baek Inho in him" and that was a wise thing to do because his acting is just brilliant! He did say in another article that his personality is 50% like Inho, yes I can see that too because it looks like he acting 50% and the other half he's being himself.

About Haneuljae's Murder, I didn't think it will end like this, It surely was to show how much he loved her but...I didn't like it. I know that sometimes you love the other person so much, you can't think straight anymore and it makes you do stupid things but he was too desperate and used the daughter to be near his love and I really didn't like it. But it's just my opinion. The acting was good and some scenes wer really emotional and well done.
I also love the scenes you mentionned :)

"I always get teary eyes watching his crying scenes bcs of how emotional they are..."

Yes, me too. Everytime I tell myself not to cry but I always ended up crying because his acting is always so convincing.

Oh I didn't try to say Kang joon is a better actor than the other members, I was just talking about that scene, that when he cried it feels more natural and I think fits this scene more. I wouldn't dare to compare them since I only saw them acting in ASLON (Gong Myung in Hwajung too and he was good) and like you said, Kang Joon was the main lead so we couldn't see much of their acting. I only watched Tae oh in some variety shows. But I'm planning to watch "Pride and prejudice" and Tae oh's drama if there are eng sub(seems like it's about fashion so I'm curious about it).
And I don't pay puch attention to their singing projects but I did watched their MV and some videos and I must say Yoo Il is good at singing and it's a good thing he's doing musicals.

"Idk either, I still can't get why they made fun of him when he said that he likes sunrise, night views and such, he claimed that he likes night views in one of his old interviews as well from what I recall, was that even worth a laugh tbh? some might've found it corny but preferences differ after all, the cloudy sky during sunrise is extremely fascinating, I often stay up all night during holiday for sunrise views, It's so ravishing and beautiful to watch, I honestly don't find it strange to like sunrise views, who doesn't anyways? but again I myself like watching the sunrise so my opinion is invalid lol, kangjoon's personality must be quite interesting considering he likes such stuff, that's what I first thought when reading that interview."

Thank you for your answer. Well I guess, it's too "strange" for the people who likes only what everyone like. But I too don't find it strange, rather like you, after he explained why I thought he was an interesting guy :D

"hmm.. I honestly don't know, I first knew him as an Actor, so probably his acting (?), but I fall for him more tnk's to Roommate, so probably his personality, he's such a sweetheart, very naïve and shy, a total clumsy dork, he's the type of person that's difficult to approach, he's not really easy-going, but once you get to know him, he's a soft little marshmallow, he's so fluffy and precious... when I first watched 'After school bokbulbok', I thought he'd be a hot-tempered guy, Idk why I thought so lmao, the vibe his face gives off made me assume he's a hot-tempered guy, recently kangjoon claimed that him and Baek InHo are pretty similar persona-wise so a fan asked him if he's hot-tempered, he said he wasn't then he smiled :3"

I also like his personality, the fact that he isn't the type to make a tons in front of camera just to attract people attention or trying hard to be cute is also something I really like about him. He isn't like that but when he is asked to do something, even ridiculous, he'll do it (well it's part of his job too). I remember in Roommate with the bald wig and the power ranger's costume, he clearly didn't want to do it but he did it. At that moment I thought he really is a good kid and a sweet one. Also, I normally don't like cute guys, well the one trying to be cute (I find them ridiculous), but I like that Kang joon isn't even trying to be cute but he is lol
Plus he is humble and that is a really good point.

"this tbh, I prefer to watch the BTS of the photoshoots rather than viewing the pictorials only, I guess It's bcs he looks better in motion, he's more videogenic than photogenic I must say, tho he looks super good in pictorials but I still find him way better-looking in motion... I'm not really attracted by his beautiful features but rather by his overflowing charisma, what an Actor needs the most is that charismatic vibe, thus, screen presence requires having an aura, being charismatic is always an additional yet strong point for actors."

Thanks, this is exactely what I was trying to say but I'm not good at explaining what I have in my mind lol

I've always wanted him to get casted in a melodrama, such as 'That winter the wind blows' or 'Nice guy', but 'Monster' is just on another level, the character is supposed to be in his late 30s, kangjoon is too young, It's odd how Lee BumSoo (46yo) and Jo SeungWoo (35yo) have been strong candidates for this drama, even SeungGi (29yo) turned it down bcs people thought he's way too young for the character tho he looks mature for his age, yet they're offering the role to kangjoon when he's only 23yo goodness gracious, and the fact It's a 50ep-drama is such a turn off tbh, he already did two 50ep-dramas back to back last year, that's tiring af, anyways I hope he realizes that turning down the offer is the best thing to do in the mean time, I get that he wants to challenge himself but taking this offer is like pulling some very serious weight, I don't want to hear people saying bad things abt him anymore, he's currently getting good reviews...

you can tell he really enjoyed portraying Inho, idk why but I feel like 'Cheese in the trap' is the only offer that kangjoon genuinely wanted to accept, he was willing to take it, despite all the negative comments he got and the huge amount of people who kept claiming he should decline it, he accepted the offer, and I'm glad he did, and It's by far his best project, I can tell that kangjoon has the eyes for good dramas, sadly fantagio is pushing him forward to roles that are too mature for his age, I get that they're doing that for the experience since he stills arguably considered as a Rookie, but let's not forget the fact he stills young, he should stick to characters that are his age, not saying he should stick to school dramas and rom-coms, he can take over dramas such as 'Gapdong', 'Hidden identity', 'Pride&Prejudice', 'Nice guy', 'Healer', etc, the type of roles that are suitable for his age, in order to succeed as an Actor, you should build-up your path, taking difficult tough roles starting from the very beginning is certainly not the best choice.

[Netizens Comments] Seo Kang Joon and Hwang Jung Eum possible leads for upcoming drama 'Monster'

1. [+3,410, -182] I like Seo Kang Joon but he and Hwang Jung Eum don't match ㅜㅜ

2. [+2,732, -79] Hwang Jung Eum feels like an employee at MBC. She never takes a break

3. [+2,298, 57] With Hwang Jung Eum? ã…‹ã…‹ I'm sure it's going to be a huge success if the story doesn't collapse midwayã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ But she's working like a cow plus she's got a wedding to plan

4. [+1,527, -108] He doesn't match with Hwang Jung Eum

5. [+830, -54] With Hwang Jung Eum?????????

6. [+240, -9] His agency must pick roles that match his age ㅜㅜLook at how solid his acting is in 'Cheese in the Trap'.. He even said that he feels relaxed this time because he's playing a role that's about his age

7. [+231 -10] I'm a Seo Kang Joon fan but I hope he turns down the offer ã…œThe drama sounds serious.. He should be doing young, fresh roles that match his age

8. [+189, -8] Seo Kang Joon's agency, don't take it. Read how viewers are reacting to him in CITT and weigh your options. You can't just say yes to every lead role he's offered with

9. [+126, -20] MBC now needs to stop casting Hwang Jung Eum. No other actresses out there?

10. [+68, -4] MBC,  you can't make a drama without Oh Yeon Seo, Baek Jin Hee, Han Ji Hye and Hwang Jung Eum in it, huh??????

------------------------------------------------------

I totally agree with comment 6, 7 and 8, let the kid choose his scripts on his own for God's sake.

and am I the only one who thinks that JungEum & Kangjoon might actually suit each other, JungEum is known to create a nice chemistry with pretty much everyone, and let's not forget the fact that Kangjoon managed to look good with Moon Sori who's like 20 years older than him and they looked extremely shippable.

Just caught up on Cheese in the Trap and Kangjoon is doing amazing, IA that it's his best project so far!

I also agree with the netizens that said Fantagio needs to get him roles that suit his age. Roles like Inho allow him to be comfortable while also give him the opportunity to develop.
