First it was during Hwajung and now with CIIT, I think it was time for Fantagio to take action.

Since he is confirmed to be part of the drama "Entourage" and it seems the shooting will start on may, hopefully he will have time to prepare.

Latetly he had many interviews and different activities so I hope he will be able to concentrate on those and forget about those hateful comments and rumors.

That aside, I wasn’t that please when I knew he was going to do another variety show but I’m glad he went to LOTJ. We can see that he is more at ease now in those, he isn’t as awkward as in Roommate. The kid with pretty eyes that just stand in a corner most of the time in Roommate is from a distant past now.

In LOTJ he isn’t afraid to speak, to show his manly side, he works hard, he even laugh with others and try to overcome his fears. I’m really proud of him.

He is afraid of bugs but he « rescued Â» everyone backpacks.

I think one of the thing I like about him is that though he is afraid, he always try his best. I remember I was impressed by him doing the bungee jumping in Roommate

He really loves sunset

I really enjoy watching LOTJ and this tribe is good. They are all nice and hard workers. Se won is realy funny tasting evrything he found.

Those Nix event's photos are so beautiful, well like always with Kang Joon. Thanks Born to stan KangJoon.

Thanks to all his different activities I can wait until october for Entourage. He seems to be really busy but I'm glad he's getting more works and he really seems to be happy

Welcome here GeislerMonick :)

The event was before the CITT "controversy" and since they didn't expect Kang Joon's fans will be this many and he couldn't even go to the event's place so they cancelled it and then after organised a new one in a gymnasium.

There were about 3000 to 4000 people for the "We Like 2Night" event (Kang joon's free event at the Lotte amusement park). Kang joon is so nice, I wish I was in SK so I could have gone to this free event and specially to see him in real.

I don't know if other SK celebrities do free events for fans too but I still think that Kang Joon is really a nice guy and that's part of why I like him.

Edit: Articles about the cancelled event and the new one:

http://www.allkpop.com/article/2016/02/seo-kang-juns-fan-event-for-cheese-in-the-trap-canceled-due-to-overcrowding

http://www.allkpop.com/article/2016/02/seo-kang-jun-isnt-afraid-to-get-intimate-with-fans-for-free-hug-event

They're talking about 270 lucky fans but it was just the ones who got hug and pics with him, there were actually many more fans and others get handshakes.

And yes, his looks are really something. He's a real natural beauty and you can tell by looking at his teenager's photos since he didn't change at all. In law of the jungle, though he was in the jungle without make up with messed hair and all, he was still as handsome as ever.

BTS with Starcast (eng version) :

Seems like when they were shooting the Beanpole outdoor photos, it was over 30C°. Poor Kang Joon it must have been hard to wear those big coats when it was actually really hot. But he did a good job since he is handsome as always in those pics and videos.

He's literally flawless.... lol.

Lmao king of shaved legs. He seems to be showing a somewhat different side of himself with this role. I'm really interested in seeing how he does with the role.

Idk if I'll actually watch the drama though. The American version was insufferable.

I agree it's a different side of him and I'm really glad because he needs to improve his acting by taking many kind of different roles.

I'm really curious to see how he will act in this drama so I'll watch it and like his other dramas, when I'll have enough, I'll drop it. Actually though I couldn't finish most of his dramas I watched them only for him but now that he finally has a lead role I may watch it until the end.

Seems like Entourage filming has ended and they will have a party on the 30th. Still have to wait until november to watch the drama, it will be hard.

I'm wondering what Kang Joon will do next? I hope he'll get an offer for a movie this time with a good role.

He'll surely have time to rest and prepare for his next project but I hope we'll get new pictorials.

@ GeislerMonick:

I totally agree with what you said about him being hard-working, genuine  and all. I too don't 'stan', at all, but in fact Kang Joon is the only one. If he was only a handsome guy I wouldn't care but I took interest in him and I'm now watching his works because of who he is, a simple and humble kid who works hard to be where he's standing now. He is indeed handsome, charismatic when acting/modeling but in real he's completely different and in a good way.

About his role in Entourage, I never watched the original so I can't speak about it. I just know it's based of Mark Walhberg's life and there are sex, drugs etc in it but since the director said they will adapt it to Korean culture, I guess there won't be those aspects in the drama.

I understand what you mean and I too think he needs challenging roles to improve his acting (a muderer would be nice), I don't know what king of role is this Erick in Entourage, but after Hwajung I'm now sure that at the moment he can't take any sorts of roles. It's not that he's bad at acting, he has potential but he isn't ready to take roles too challenging. That's why I'm still glad if it's a different role as his previous ones and, above all, he finally has a lead role!

Im actually kind of conflicted with him being the lead this time to be honest with you...

After seeing the conclusion of the whole citt mess, i sort of understand part of the audience's frustration...the story was going very well but for reasons we cant assume his character got overexposed. People who werent his fans got tired of seeing inho and even if there isnt evidence to prove him guilty of conspiring with the directors and pd....there isnt evidence to prove him a complete victim either...For people who dont know him or follow him (like we do!) this whole thing left a bad taste in their mouths about kang joon as an actor. We as his fans give him the benefit of the doubt because we truly think he's just a humble, hard-working kid but for unbiased watchers? it was all kind of strange....fishy even...and it's understandable if they dont look forward to his future works even if he nailed his citt character. they got a little sick and it's not that surprising.

Im conflicted about kang joon playing vincent mostly because of the public reception y'know? and because of what i just said earlier. If citt didnt go as bad as it did i would be rejoycing because playing the lead on 'entourage' could be the perfect role for him. it could permanently put him as a trendy likable actor. but the public right now dont feel too excited about it.

Right now what i think is good for him is a character who is likable from the get go!.....like 'E', who is responsible, has initiative and seems to be the only one with 'sense' at the start of the show. Vince chase (imo) is a character that has to be developed in order for the audience to like him/understand him. (his lack of initiative and sense of responsability is kinda irritating not gonna lie)

i dont know how long entourage is gonna run for or how they're gonna present 'it' but with the public perception about kang joon's acting right now im afraid the character is gonna be either fuel for his haters or if he's really lucky...he's gonna be seen in a new light. Im just kinda nervous and maybe a little paranoid about him doing a lead when a good percentage of the citt audience couldnt stand him anymore by the of the drama, and when i say a good percentage i mean quite a lot of people.

Though I understand your worries, I don't completely agree with you.

It's true that after the CIIT ridiculous controversy, I was afraid that with all the hates and new haters he got thanks to CIIT, Kang Joon may have a difficult time like with Hwajung. The thing is that he was already hated by lots of people, some were CIIT webtoon fans being angry and disappointed he was chosen to take the role of Baek Inho, some hated him because he wasn’t that good in Hwajung and others just hates him for ridiculous reasons.

I won’t talk about the CIIT issue again, I already wrote some long messages to talk about my point of view about it, but though he got even more haters after this, it’s definitely different from Hwajung. People had reasons to doubt his acting after seing him in Hwajung but with CIIT issue, it wasn’t because of his acting since he was really good, he even overshadowed the other actors and the main lead and that’s were the problem begun. We all know what’s it was about though many people choose to believe blindly, when a certain someone acted as a victim, and create many false rumors about Kang Joon, I was sure as time goes by, they will get tired and things will calm down. And it really looks like people got tired because I don’t see any hates comments about him anywhere anymore and on the contrary he got new fans.

I may be wrong since I don’t know what korean people think about him but since he got chosen to be the model/face of many brands it must means that he’s pretty well love there.

About the CIIT audience who hated him, it was during the time the drama was aired, the people who watch it after all this mess, that don't know/don't care/just want to watch a drama, leave good comments about it and don't talk bad about Kang Joon.

So I assume that, hopefully, a certain someone's effort to destroy his career didn't work. If the haters don't want to watch Entourage, it's up to them but they are absolutely not the majority. Honestly, after the CIIT issue, when I read the haters comments saying they won't watch the drama because they can't stand Kang Joon anymore, it made me laugh so hard, like they think they are so important and that they're waching dramas on unofficial websites will influence the percentage of ratings. Sorry but it was hillarious :har:

I said I won't talk about the CIIT issue anymore but I just want to point out, the only thing that was important is that the main issue was between the author of the webtoon and the staffs of the drama, THIS resulted of Yoo Jung less screentime, the abrupt changes of the direction of the story and the focus on Baek Inho and that's it. If you think about it carefully, you will understand that directed your anger to Kang Joon was ridiculous since a rookie actor don't have the power to change anything.

Honestly I was waiting for the haters to prove me with official sources that Kang Joon was actually as rotten as they said and conspired with the director to cut PHJ's screentime but since they couldn't prove any of the accusations. I assumed it was just another excuse to trash him again and I chose to believe in Kang Joon's honesty.

You know one thing I'm glad about him being the lead this time is that other actor's won't be able to complain if he has more screentime or if he outshine them and create another ridiculous controversy

He worked hard to have an offer for a lead role, wether his role is likable or not, it doesn’t matter, what’s important is if he can pull it off. He is an actor so I wish to see him in different roles be it the good boy next door, a criminal etc Between he already has roles the audience didn't like in his previouse dramas.

He declined an offer for this role in Entourage so I want to believe in him that he made the good choice.

Well I think It still too soon to talk about wether this role is good for him or not, I prefer to wait and see. I’ll come back to talk about the drama, his role and all after it ends.

One thing I'm sure is he already prove what he is capable of, he made a name for himself so what's left is just for him to improve his acting.

For now, it seems like he’s enjoying his free time playing with crabs so I hope he can rest fully and come back with a good project next time.

It's not like I don't understand your worries but I think it's best to believe in him and wait and see how things will turn out to be
