[NEW OP] Seo Kang Joon Official Thread

Hi, I've only watched one of his drama Haneuljae's Murder, and currently considering to watch another drama of his. Idk what drama to watch so please recommend me one.

I'm not sure whether to watch Cunning Single Lady or not just because of him, since Cunning Single Lady seems to be a generic romcom and I'm not in the mood to watch that kind of drama. But if it's actually good maybe I can consider to watch it.

 

Btw his acting is good and he's good looking as well in Haneuljae's Murder. His character here fell in love with a much older woman and he acted it out well.

Haneuljae's Murder, tho the Storyline is kinda heartbreaking but I loved KangJoon's character there, I loved the chemistry between the Leads, I srsly hated how they managed to show that the Lead couple were wrong for loving each other tbvh, PD~nim disappointed me in this .. Although, I loved how KangJoon managed to show his acting skills in Haneuljae's murder, K-Netizens got to know him due to this drama and loved him since then, they considered him as a good actor just due to it .. So yeh u did a good choice watching it first hehe ~

 

hmm, What should I recommend ?! Well, All KangJoon's dramas are precious XD~ I'll list you all his dramas based on my preference so you can choose ~

 

The Suspious housekeeper is such a worth-watching drama, KangJoon's character was that kind of cool handsome guy every school has, He showed a totally different side of him compared to Haneuljae's murder so I believe you will like his Character there if you ever watched the drama .. 

 

Cunning Single Lady, tbvh I watched it bcs of MinJung unnie bcs She's My Ultimate female Bias, My Queen, My One&Only, My everything, but indeed rather than shipping her with SangWook Ajusshi, I shipped her with KangJoon LMAO, I bet almost everyone who watched the drama was expecting her ending up with KangJoon but unfortunately, PD~nim messed up a bit, Anyways, the drama stills a good rom-com, not one of my favs but still I enjoyed it - The drama wasn't a hit, nor did well in ratings, but gotta admit It was a huge WIN for KangJoon bcs he gained his fame & popularity due to it, even him admit so .. Overall, I laughed and even cried, It's a good drama tho ><

 

What Happens to My Family? .. CAN I JUST SAY THAT I FUCKING ADORE THIS DRAMA, yess KangJoon was the 2nd Lead - again - but indeed I loved his character here, PDs didn't turn him into that kind of 2nd Lead you'll hate while watching the drama, I wished nothing more than him ending up with JiHyun tbh rather than Hyungsik, I loved this drama, It got a special spot in My heart, I'm grateful KangJoon has been casted in it and I'm more thankful to KangJoon bcs he did took the offer .. SUCH A WORTH-WATCHING DRAMA WITH A DEEP MEANING AND BEAUTIFUL DEDICATION TO ALL THE FAMILIES OUT THERE, DEFINITELY MY 2ND FAVOURITE FAMILY-DRAMA AFTER THE ICONIC " Smile you " ~

 

But out of all KangJoon's Dramas, ' After school Bokbulbok ' remains as the most precious, the most wonderful, Why? bcs KangJoon alongside with his groupmates 5URPRISE acted there, This drama-toon is one of a kind, I loved it like I'm so hooked in it to the point I re-watched it for 6 times xD, Babies slayed in this Drama *----------* Srsly the best drama-toon of all times, U gotta watch it, U gotta see Blonde KangJoon lol~~ 

It has 2 seasons, the 1st season is My favourite bcs It's starring OT5, the 2nd season is no different that the 1st one, but I have to admit It's more hilarious, the 1st season was hilarious but had some sad heartbreaking parts I can tell, yet KangJoon wasn't there in the 2nd season since he was filming 'Cunning Single Lady' when 5URPRISE were filming their drama-toon, but indeed U gotta watch both, It's too short so both seasons will get 2 days to watch at max ><

 

Otherwise, you gotta wait for KangJoon's new Sageuk drama which will air Tomorrow [13/04/2015] .. It's starring Cha Seung Won, Lee Yeon Hee, Seo KangJoon, Kim JaeWon, Han Ju Won, and I can assume - already - that It's worth-watching, It's the most anticipated Drama in Korea .. I'm too excited for this one, sure It gonna be a huge thing for KangJoon's and so will change his career~

About Haneuljae's Murder, on one side I dislike how the PD made it's wrong for them to love each other, but at another side I can understand the reason considering how Kang Joon's character married the daughter just so that he could be close to the mother forever. That means he basically used her daughter to get his own love. After he married her he even made moves on the mother. Although it means he loves the mother too much until the extent he did that, it's also wrong to use the daughter. It's too bad though for those two but I still find their story is beautiful. Seo Kang Joon acted well there.

 

Thanks for your detailed description of the dramas, I'll consider them in choosing the dramas   I hope he'll be casted in a drama I'm truly interested in later. I don't like saeguk dramas so I'm not interested in the upcoming saeguk one. Too bad since he looks so good in it.

 

 

Btw how is Kang Joon's real personality is like? I'm curious.

I love his light eye colors, it made his looks more distinguishable

Yes yes I have to admit that I didn't like that step the PD~nim did, He made KangJoon's character seem too desperate, we know that he devote all his love to that woman, but srsly why using that innocent cutie girl, I srsly didn't get it, It was messed up a bit, but still I enjoyed it, seeing KangJoon's 2nd project drama being a Melodrama is good tho lol~~ Bcs I effin love Melodramas, heartbreaking stories that will make you cry along with 'em is totally My type, that's why I wish KangJoon could be casted in a drama as ' 1 LITER OF TEARS ' tbh ;; 

 

His personality, xDD Should I spill it ?! Well, His personality is totally different compared to the vibe you get at the first sight .. He's dumb and stupid, that's #1, He studied abroad English for 2-3 years yet he can't seem to remember something called English lol, He can't make the difference between letter M & N (Yess just laugh as much as u want lmao) .. He's too shy like super duper shy, he's that kind of quiet person who won't open up a conversation with you unless you did first >< 

His fanservice doe, I just love the way he treats his fans, tho I prefer to not call it ' fanservice ' bcs It's actually ' him ' , He's just being him, at the Valentine day, he held a special fanmeeting, he claimed he wanted to spend the Valentine day with his dear fans, he hugged each fan that came to the fanmeeting /I still envy those girls *JK* / .. 

 

Aside from his stupideness XD, He went through lots' of hardships just to achieve his dreams .. His parents rejected the Idea of him becoming an Actor, his family was poor, they sent him to Malaysia to study there, but even tho, he wasn't that good of student, so yeh after a couple of years, he went back to Korea, his parents were mad at him, he did tell 'em that he want to become an Actor, but they still rejected the Idea, so He managed to pursue his dream despite his parents' thoughts, His relationship with his parents wasn't that good bcs of this, He worked as a server in a cafe (Part-time job) to pay for his studies at an acting school, He had the urge to become an Actor, so he did pursue his dream and that's how his wish came true, He must be proud of himself achieving his dream by his own .. and me as being his fan, I'm Proud of him ;; 

 

Achieving your dream by your own is always better .. ><

 

 

Ah so he's the kind who's shy and quiet? Matches his looks then, since he has this mellow looks on him lol

I've watched one of his cuts from Roommate where he spoke English in front of a door. No wonder his pronunciation is passable but his grammar is wrong lol "I came for meet you" haha. Maybe it's because he's a quiet and shy person that's why his English speaking improves slower because he didn't get to practice much. Based on my experience studying abroad, quiet and shy person's speaking skill in other language improves more slowly than one who's talkative.

What did he study at Malaysia? English? 

It's good that he seems to have a strong drive to be an actor. I hope he'll keep it up and become big. He has potential as an actor judging from his acting in Haneuljae's Murder.

He's shy but also dumb .. His parents sent him to Malaysia to study, I srsly don't know, maybe they wanted him to become something big, and so in Malaysia he studied English as well, let's say he didn't bcs I highly doubt he did lmao ~~
