Japan debut or other solo debut? Who knows but there have been some strange coincidences recently, even more than what is in the OP.

yeah, i mean that i thought she was going to focus on her brand and expanding it, but debuting and promoting your music takes so much time...

I want to see a Jessica solo, but I don't know if this is the best route. SNSD as a whole with the exception of Sooyoung and Seohyun have always had extremely questionable Japanese, and I'm not sure they'd accept her as readily as a soloist from one of their own groups. Really, I think a Chinese solo would be more profitable for her... but of course there's a language barrier there, too. If the US weren't so stuck-up, I'd say she should debut here, but... the US is really stuck-up and she'd probably have an even harder time here than in South Korea.

 

Either way, I'm interested to see how it'll go!
