Kyungsoo is more quiet than the previous promos and kai on the contrary is even more active than before and seems closer (on cam at least) to the beagle line... Tbh if I were new to the fandom and didn't know the ships I would never in a million year think that those two are close... I'd think that kai is close to chanbaekhun and kyungsoo is close to xiuhunchanbaek... Small confession, I'm falling hard for Sesoo and xiusoo but mostly Sesoo... I haven't visited the thread in a long time. I said I'd post my Kaisoo opinion soon but it kept getting pushed back I have a lot to say but I'll address this one point for now to keep it shorter. I can understand new fans from Overdose who think Kaisoo aren't close. They barely talk to each other! The ships who do more fanservice gets more attention. Obviously new fans think those ships are the closest or they're bffs because that's what they see, the fanservice. Interesting, Kaisoo was never big on fan service but despite that, they're the only ship that hasn't sunk until now. Overdose era was short. Majority of last year was TLP, after that awards season. If the fan isn't a Kaisoo shipper who follows Kaisoo religiously, she won't know that Kaisoo had a shit ton of moments last year and early this year. For example, me. I made a separate folder for Overdose era to March 2015, it has 2,800+ gifs/pics, I new fan or casual fan won't know those moments if they weren't looking. I follow c-fans and k-fans so I can see the gifs/pics easier but not everyone does. I totally understand why they'd think Kaisoo aren't close because of this. But CMB promo makes things more obvious. Well as obvious as Kaisoo can get. As a Kyungsoo stan, CMB feels very nostalgic. Kyungsoo is back to 2012 Kyungsoo, who according to kfans, is surprisingly the clingy one when it comes to Jongin, instead of the other way around. Because Kyungsoo isn't a fan of skinship but he touches Jongin so easily, the kfans saw this difference. That's why Kaisoo became popular belatedly in MAMA era. Anyway that Kyungsoo is back in CMB era. He's been hanging onto Jongin like he's glued to him. The amount of Kaisoo in the last 3 weeks have varied from cute to sweet to downright djfasjdksajflslfdslkdlskdlskfl WHY KAISOO WHY. It's so cute. Still it isn't the typical obvious moments that kpop fans are used to. Kaisoo will never be about that fan service life. The fanaccounts alone say they're still stuck to each other off cam but do we see that on cam? Nope. Normal fans have an exaggerated perception of closeness in Kpop. Fanservice, done to service the fans, lures the fans to flock to a pairing. Those are the obvious over the top ships. This era it's this ship, the next era it's this ship, then this ship. If you see a ship that is constant from the beginning til now, doesn't that say something about the genuine relationship they have? It's not done to service us fans. They're simply being themselves and we just happen to be audiences to witness their friendship. My opinion on who's close with Kyungsoo is so different from fan opinion. I'd get shot tbh I'd rather not post it. There's a reason why Kaisoo's my only otp while I consider other ships as brotp. I think they picked the members they really wanted to pick. Jongin admitted he wanted to pick Kyungsoo is a dead giveaway that it isn't a rehearsed response. He wanted to pick Kyungsoo because he wanted to pick Kyungsoo but out of courtesy, picked Baekhyun. According to fan accounts, Jongin turned very red when Kyungsoo picked him and explained why. I can't backtrack now so to avoid posting repeat gifs, I'll post a gif from last year. I hope I haven't posted these yet. From TLP last year. Kaisoo walking on the stage of rehearsal. Jongin has his hand on Kyungsoo's shoulder only to remove it to... ... tug him at his elbow sleeve. .... and hold his arm. It's very brief but like all fanaccounts say, Kaisoo are always together bts. Maybe we don't see pictures of them hugging or fake kissing onstage but they're always together backstage. A lot of casual shippers have been wondering about them and putting myself in their position i would understand. People say that sesoo and xiusoo are pushed by Sm what do you think about that?
