It's not suspicious. It happens all the time for people with more public recognition instead of a large fanbase. MC Gree is the son of a famous korean comic/variety personality, and this is his major solo debut, so he has a lot more public interest. I'm 99% sure about the Shownu subplot, he robbed a bank because he couldn't pay for meds but when he got back to the hospital his grandfather was dead so he burned the money. I have some additions to make to the first part though. The MV reminds me a bit of a TV show I've been watching, Colony, where the Earth is occupied by a human army controlled by aliens. It definitely looks like their village is under occupation. Those soldiers were bullying those old people selling shoes so MonstaX intervened to help them. MonstaX are part of the resistance and they're planning to defeat the invaders. About the Hyungwon subplot, I'm more and more convinced he's in a gay couple with Minhyuk. The old guy who slaps him is holding a book with a cross on it so he's probably part of a religious group. My guess is that he's Hyungwon's father and that he's upset about him leaving the religious sect to live with the MonstaX guys (and maybe for being gay). In Colony (that TV show I mentioned), there is a religious group that believes the invaders are messengers from God and maybe that's the case here too. So Hyungwon's father might be angry because he joined the resistance instead of supporting the invading army. Hyungwon gets beaten up by his dad and the other religious people, not sure if because he's gay or because he left the sect and joined the resistance or maybe both. Minhyuk is Hyungwon's boyfriend and he gets really angry when he sees what those religious people have done to him so he decides to burn their place down with the help of I.M and Wonho. The scene in the tub looks very "Romeo and Juliet"-ish to me. Romeo thought Juliet was dead so he killed himself, then Juliet woke up and killed herself because Romeo was dead. I think something like that happened with Minhyuk ad Hyungwon. Minhyuk thought Hyungwon has killed himself, so he gets into the tub and kills himself too. We see Hyungwon squeezed his hand though, so Hyungwon is alive and Minhyuk committed suicide for no reason. I'm not sure they're really dead though because you can see both of them in the scene with the flying blue heart. Not sure about their flower power party lol. There's another show I'm watching (12 Monkeys) where people eat leaves and flowers to go to a different place and understand the nature of space and time, so maybe that's what they were doing. I think the drug party is connected to the flying heart at the end. The heart is blue like the flowers and I think that might be the thing they had LOST. The flowers might be part of the ritual to connect to the heart or something. I think a lot of the scenes are not in chronological order. The scene where Kihyun is running surrounded by all that dust looks like a vulcano ash eruption (like the one that destroyed Pompeii) or maybe the arrival of the aliens (just to stay in theme with that Colony TV show)? I think the scenes with the white outfits are from the future, a teaser of what they're going to do in the next MV. We know this MV is supposed to have a sad concept, while things will get better in the next chapter, so I think the parts where they're happy are from the future. I'm so proud about my theory lol I think it might be true. I actually think most of this is plausible. The MV is all over the place anyway, so almost anything will make sense to me tbh lol. I loved how the V App moderator didn't close the stream until we got 10million hearts lol time to back-track a few pages..... I looooove the chorus, I like that it's not just your typical "one word repeated 100 times" hook but it actually has a melody. YES! That's what I love the most. It's a LEGIT melody and it's actually kind of....... emotional (?) despite the energy of the instrumental. For some reason, the melody of the pre-chorus/chorus kind of reminds me of a 90s or early 2000s R&B song in the sense that's it's really well built. Not many songs are composed like that nowadays, so that's why I'm going crazy for it LMAO. This is definitely not Hyungwon's best day lol he keeps getting lost during the dance I think the biggest difference between now and last year is that they look a lot less confident now. Maybe they saw other rookies do really well and got a bit depressed, that'd be really sad. They look a bit insecure, but they have no reason to be. They've got everything they need to be popular, great visuals, memorable vocals, talented rappers, amazing dance and variety skills. I wish I could cheer them up somehow <3 .......... You left out amazing music.... D: But anyway, I agree. I don't think it's them being depressed though. I think they're just tired as hell lol. After School Club on the 24th. It's great in some parts (I love the hook) but I wish the pre-chorus bit had more of an epic feel, gradually building up to the chorus. I think in that part the instrumental was a bit flat. Super impressed by them for pulling off a melodic chorus though. It's really hard to do that in Kpop where music is all about catchy hooks. SISTAR's Shake It had a melodic chorus too but I personally didn't like it, so when I started hearing the All In chorus I was a bit worried. It's my favourite part now, with the amazing rap verses. I don't know lol they looked pretty depressed in their anniversary video so I just assumed they looked a bit weak because of that. I think Hyungwon and Shownu explained part of the story? I hope someone subs that soon. I think the producers actually made it understated for effect in order to build up to the chorus. I like it that way anyway. The only thing I would've loved is if they repeated the whole chorus one last time at the end after the bridge instead of just repeating the hook/refrain. They live subbed that when showing it during the showcase. Shownu just basically said that his character robbed a bank to get money for medication like people were suspecting. Hyungwon said something along the lines of his character hiding his pains from his friends and people around him, but he didn't give much detail about his story.
