They're probably pushing Wonho for another role. I hope MX go for a more unique hip hop concept. Maybe even a mature one, since male groups in general has gone for the fierce/"I'm the best" style. Worst possible scenario would be if they went totally generic, and debut in April with YG artists breathing down their necks. IKON will take away most of their hype, simply because of Bobby and B.I who are more well known to the public. Starship need to get them in before April. Right now, there isn't much coming out so there is slightly less competition, so more people will pay attention to them. I have reasonably high hopes for MX. From what I have seen so far, they have potential. the sooner they're ready for debut, the better i'm sure they're working on their music now, and before the show, they probably already had a concept/ideas planned yeah, if they come out with something generic... i will be so disappointed. the songs they did on NO.MERCY were all catchy and addictive XD except coach me? that song was catchy, definitely - but a very typical kpop song Monsta X Mon (French for STAR) ... LOL STARSHIP is sly as fuck ... always insert STAR in their groups ... lol .. YES! because STARSHIP is a ship full of STARS .. witty, cheesy but it will sink in ... lol I don't know why people are upset Gun got eliminated .. The way he raps is suited as a "MAIN RAPPER" .. I don't want him to live in JooHeon shadow like how Soyou did with Hyorin .. STARSHIP learned from SISTAR ... I guarantee you he is going to debut right after because that talent won't go to waste ... Shownu is the leader ... daebak!! bring out his personality ... we all know WonHo has that leadership trait, but Shownu is so laid back that I think STARSHIP wants him to step up his game a little bit and with some responsibility we will see him shine .. WonHo stated he wants to be an actor and he also wants to be on Runningman chasing people ... He must be fast, that's great since he will help out with BOYFRIEND & SISTAR for ISAC 2015 in the summer ... I also want them to succeed first in the group and then take the route with acting .. This group looks like a visual group ... I.M def holds his own and his great on variety ...not much of a talker but if he does speak, everyone around him is listening and laughs at his rare yet funny remarks .. Kihyun is quite a vocalist .. I'm so glad they have a great vocalist ... this group put together was great ... STARSHIP TEAM did great ... welcome & wish y'all a successful debut + future activities ... yeah, looking back now, i'm not really upset anymore that #gun isn't the group. the main reason i rooted for #gun's inclusion in the group was because of his friendship and compatibility with Jooheon but definitely, #gun would have lived in Jooheon's shadow. yeah i guess it's comparable to Hyorin and Soyou's positions, but eventually all the members of SISTAR have been able to get their own spotlights, so #gun could have gotten his spotlight later? #gun is definitely main rapper material, but i heard that he left starship already... They do have potential. I'm not too fond of the lineup but they have Jooheon, Shownu & Wonho that's enough for me to keep an eye on them. Starship has done amazing things with their soloists- I'm rarely disappointed by them but then again, the music is usually produced or guided by the artist themselves eg. Mad Clown so what could go too wrong? Mature suits them, not mature like suits but a more polished sound, I trust Jooheon to lead them to the right direction. Any date later than June and the No Mercy hype will be gone Summer is always filled to the brim with comebacks so the chances of fading into the background is high Shit is tricky starship said in the first half of 2015 - so that's definitely before June. yeah, after that, all the hype will definitely be gone... honestly, i feel like with YG's comebacks and iKON's debut, the hype of MX will also die down so i hope they debut earlier! random question but do any of the members do producing/composing? i think wonho, or maybe jooheon do? I so positive the show was a setup and they already had the groups down before the show even started .. to shed some spotlight on GUN# during the show .. The next group is going to be their backup group, those who got eliminated .. test the waters with MONSTA X and then bring them out later .. MONSTA X is an international group and they are targeting CHINA ... the next one will be like SISTAR male version ... I am in total agreement with what you said. Kihyun is a much stronger vocal than Junhoe, I also think there's more talent in MX. IMHO, they could've debuted the day after the show and they would've been ready. I didn't think iKON was in the same position when their survival show ended. Targeting china? China lol JooGun forever my ninja's I'm sure most agencies would love to get a piece of the Chinese market and Starship is no exception. In fact, the group just released 3 versions of their new year greetings and one of them is in Chinese: . They also released a version in English and I like how in the English version they greeted their fans with happy belated new year instead of just happy new year; because internationally new year is Jan 1st; while in the Chinese and Korean versions, they say happy new year because lunar new year is now. I just want to say that it kinda sucks to see a few people complaining about #Gun. I REALLY liked him too..but i hate to see this stuff her or even on youtube. I just want to say that i will stan MonX forever. I liked every trainee on No.Mercy and i knew that i probably wasn't gonna be 100% happy with the lineup. I'm with this group for the long haul, Gun or not. I can care less about the name. LOLS that's true. all of them are the better bunch of dancers and they're all pretty tall - but then this seems more like the criteria for an idol boy band, than the hip hop oriented group that they claim they will be? i hope the eliminated trainees make up another group - that would be awesome. yeah, they said there would be a male SISTAR, but MX clearly isn't it. MX is also under starship X too, so... maybe the main label, starship has plans for another boy group. I like calling them MX and hopefully they will catch on. I hope Shownu really takes on that role seriously instead of just having it for the sake of it. There are so many groups that have leaders who don't really even take their role seriously. Anyway, Jooheon really seems like one of those rappers that can sing too. He hasn't really sang seriously, but he seems to have a good sense of pitch.
