I decided to make an account because I want Monbebe friends but Tumblr is lonely and Twitter is...Twitter. I've been into kpop since 2011 when Suju was my ult group but I started drifting away in 2013. Then I started getting back into things last summer and Monsta X has been my ult group since May! I liked Trespass/Rush/Hero but they didn't stand out to me from other groups until I watched the All In MV. My favorite songs are Perfect Girl, Blue Moon, Amen, Hero, and White Sugar although I like all of their songs (I didn't even mention Stuck even though it's the song that made me want to stan them lol). I love all of the members a lot but my bias is Changkyun. I'm in my freshman year of uni so I'm still figuring out my schedule and I haven't been on a forum since 2011 so it'll probably take me awhile to figure out how to properly post stuff here, but I'm hoping to post here a lot!! And of course I'm so excited for The Clan Part 2! I'll always be the first to jump and scream at his body and all and say cringy shit like 'rekt me pls' or you know... But quite honestly I've never really been a fan of the gimmicky way Starship promotes him. I know I legit made a thread about his pecs a few hours ago and was thirsty AF during the same period of time but I gotta say that sometimes all the teasing and shirt lifts kinda feels tacky at the end of the day. I wish there was more I could say about him. Because obviously when I say something like "Ugh Starship should stop promoting him as abs on legs..." first thing to pop up in mind is "But you do exactly the same thing in your threads!!" but as I just said, I wish there was more I could say about him. All No Mercy did for him (aside from debut ofc) was just creating this facade of some dude who has way too much confidence with some assets that can sometimes fall short in comparison to some people. I'm only saying this because I genuinely like him. Believe it or not, the shallow ass that I am actually stanned Wonho because of his dreams to become a composer. Before I got to know that side of him I honestly never really cared much about him. In fact I only noticed that shirt lift in Trespass MV a year post release... It never really meant much to me. As a young dude I needed a motivation to persevere and Wonho was finally someone that I could honestly look up to and grow with. I was happy. This really isn't the typical upvote/note bait post you see all the time where someone says "Omfg Wonho is more than his body!!1!1" but more like a genuine concern for how this gimmick will affect him in the long run. He can't forever be that one greasy man at the back. It's so bad now that at this point all the footage we have of him actually opening up seems token... Not genuine... That's stuff I've actually seen people say about him. Shit like "He cried just to gain sympathy" and whatnot. Hurts me. Probably hurts him as well. And I'm not even gonna be that guy and say "Starship should promote other aspects of him more!!" or "Push him in singing/composing!", "Release his tracks!!"... Because trust me... I'd rather have him get even less appearances if that's what it takes to clean up his image... I agree! The reason why I love Wonho is his personality (he is adorable)...and his dedication to achieve his dreams...OMG he is so talented (I love his voice...the way he dances...everything)...(he also has a great potential as a composer...I love his song "How about you", shown on Monbebe event). We can't deny he is handsome and so on, but at first, he captured my attention when started to show what he really got on 'No Mercy.' This kind of stereotype is seen so often in kpop industry...("the shy one","the sexy one", and so on)...and unfortunately other important things are missed...I agree with you. Besides that, we know that Korean society is really focused on beauty and perfection...maybe that's the reason why we see this... Regarding the colors, I really like that blueish purple color too!! By the way, does anyone know what happened to the official lightsticks that would be chosen?? (The last thing I knew was that there were some problems because one of the designs were copied from somewhere else...not sure about it) Thanks for the welcomes! Yeah tbh I'm not really a fan of the way he's promoted either. But I don't really think this will affect him too much in the long run? Soz It would be great to have Wonho's song on the album but idk if it's naive of me to think if it's not on there, it's because he's not 100% ready as a composer yet. From what I've heard of his song so far, it sounded good with so much potential but I can see why starship might not think he's ready to have a song on the album yet, something about it did sound a little amateur but I really hope he won't give up and he'll let this encourage him. My advice to him is to write songs with Jooheon as jooheon has proven himself to be a competent song writer. Jeongmin (boyfriend) too, I know he was spending some time with him before as well, he should continue. It took Jeongmin about 3/4 years to finally get a song he wrote on Boyfriend's album but he finally got there and now you see his compositions a lot more. I think starship is a very talent based company in how they push members and really want you to prove yourself before they push you into anything. It can be annoying but I understand it. Also, with regards to maybe the song he makes might not be the right genre etc, then as a budding songwriter, he should learn how to write more public friendly genres etc. A lot of songwriters write songs with genres they might not even listen to but that's also a good way of showing your competence as a songwriter and getting your songs on the album. To Starship Monsta X is a brand and they don't wanna risk it in anyway. Also with Wonho, I hope I don't offend any Wonho fans bcs I genuinely love the guy and every single member but I recognise a lot of their flaws as well, I think he's very insecure about his talents and that can be off putting to people. Like for me, a lot times in no mercy, he just seemed like he wasn't sure of himself as a singer and a dancer but his main source of confidence is his visuals. I think in many ways, it's the same now and I think that's why startship do push him in that angle. Starship are also equal opportunity, Sistar do sell their bodies a lot for their concept, the reason it doesn't bother you as much as it might do Wonho and other sexy groups is because Sistar are also really charismatic and very confident in other things apart from their body. I think that's why I find sistar so much enjoyable than other sexy groups, you can tell they have more to offer and this isn't their last chance at getting attention type thing. Wonho is a talented guy and imo definitely the 3rd best singer and one of the best dancers in the group, and he's good looking. His looks are bonus and he should see it that way not that his looks are his focus. Shownu can be objectified as well but I think he somehow manages to not come across gimmicky as Wonho does. I don't really know what I'm trying to say other than that, Wonho should continue with his songwriting and I hope he'll realise he's more than his face and body. A lot of people call Wonho vain and I genuinely don't think he helps himself there. I don't think he's vain, I think he just knows what the people want, his body and face, so he gives them that. But he should realise a lot of people want him for more than that as well. More like he tried to spend the last moments of his friend's life with him (Hyungwon's hand moved to grab his in the bathtub, so I don't think he was dead when Minhyuk walked in on him.) Besides Minhyuk's head was out of the water anyways. Couldn't hae drowned like Hyungwon supposedly did or even if the liquid he poorer into the water was poison, unlike Shownu(I think that's what he drank), he wasn't shown drinking it at all... I think Hyungwon fell into a coma of some sorts (fits the dream narrative too). The scenes of him walking in the dark could be his visions in some dreams or whatever. I've seen people assume he must've gotten crazy because of the scene of him shaking on his bed but that could be nightmares/convulsions or something like that. And then that scene of Shownu(?) building (what seems to be) a wheelchair (there's no way that's a death seat lmao), it reminded me of Kihyun at the end of the All In MV as he was seen limping. Is it supposed to be for him? Idk. Mess hhhh where did all of this come from OMG great theories by the way...make sense ☺ The only thing I understood is that Hyungwon was leaving the clan?
