I think her dialogue delivery is slower and better enunciated, her voice is a lot deeper here too probably because of her villainous role whereas in Pacific Rim her accent was whimsical and her voice was meek to represent her character's vulnerability.

Had quite a few reservations about 47 Ronin but it's shaping up to be a much better film then I expected. It's nice to see that both Kou Shibasaki and Rinko Kikuchi are going to be featured and have large parts. Rinko Kikuchi is going to continue to grow and develop as a star especially after all of these added films. Seeing her in the spotlight is great because she is a strong and versatile actress. Wasn't expecting to see Rick Genest because I didn't know that he was an actor but the role seems well suited. Not fully convinced about Keanu but he has his moments were he surprises me.

His character isn't in the original story and was created for the movie. I'm just surprised that everyone else is Asian, let alone actually Japanese.
