Should JinSeok have been YG's TVXQ?

Now that it has been announced King Jin left YG, I'm thinking it would have been a great idea. The guys are well-rounded enough and already had a fandom -- they could have tailed off iKON's success like TVXQ did with DBSK/JYJ.

Changmin = Hongseok

Strong vocals

Standard visual

Ignored by company but hailed by fandom

Screaming adlibs

Jinhyeong = Yunho

Mediocre vocals

Strong visual

Acting experience

Extremely nasally voice

Thoughts? P.S - It's a shame that YG let such jewels go to waste.

In the sense that they both have the visual/talent combo, yes.

However I don't think Jinhyeong has mediocre vocals at all. He doesn't have the conventional 'powerful' voice per se, but his strength is in that gorgeous tone. His cover of Marry Me is just heaven.  :ahmagah:

How YG could let him go is just beyond me.

Apparently leaving was Jinhyeong's decision so how people expect YG to retain him is beyond me. Was he supposed to coerce him into staying or...? I respect Jinhyeong's personal wishes.

I think TVXQ pales in comparison to Jinseok simply because their vocals are weak. I dont understand where Sim gets the idea that Changmin holds strong vocals but thats his opinion.

Plus TVXQ is very choreagraphy-concentrated duo. Whereas Hongseok cant even pull through a dance routine and Jinhyeong, despite being a natural, was just starting to polish his dancing skills.

The novelty of a young version of TVXQ from YG who appeal to a new generation of kpop fans would have been a very smart and interesting idea, albeit unlikely now.

I was almost gonna wonder why only two people will have been the equivalent of TVXQ in YG...
