150206 Luhan (3rd) and Wu Yi Fan (4th) mediation with SM at 2PM. Reported

that the mediation lasted for about 30 minutes only. However, both sides failed again

to reach an agreement. The two defense lawyers said that they would adjust the time

once again to prepare for mediation while SM's lawyer said "No comment".

30 minutes? That's 20 minutes after hellos, getting coffee, and some polite chit chat. Are they serious?

SM are going to drag this one out for another 3 years.

Doesn't matter, it's in Korean jurisdiction anyway. So whatever Krishan does beyond that is not covered unless they were also made to sign Chinese contracts by SM.

Can't they go to court already? Like seriously what do they think after the 3/4 th mediation either side's going to be like "hey you know what we will give you what you want". Yeah right.

SM will drag this out just so they won't be deemed as losers. This case is actually pretty minor and they could very well reach a settlement, but if it would look so easy, it could give the 'wrong ideas' not only to foreign SM trainees/idols, but to those from other companies as well. So this is not merely an SM issue but a K-Pop industry issue. Their dominance towards their talents in controlling every aspect of the latter is what makes their system work, and things that JYJ, Hankyung, Luhan and Kris did could very well influence other talents to follow suit (which we already saw with what happened to BAP and Block B).

Don't understand why don't Kris and Luhan's lawyers take this straight to court.

Oh I understand that SM needs to be tough on KrisHan as to make defecting look damn hard. I also understand the need for SM to exert control. I honestly don't think SM could produce these groups without obedience and almost complete agency of their artists. SM has a formula to make these groups work. So that is all well and understood. What I am just surprised they haven't been sent to trial yet when there seems to be little or no resolution. I thought 3 mediations was the max (I have no idea where I got this statistic from LOL).

Also why is everyone assuming that SM is 100% wrong? Kris and Luhan could settle too and agree to whatever demanded as well. But I am sure both sides see the others demand as unreasonable.
