Che'Nelle - Aishiteru (short pv)

Che'Nelle is much too boring and bland! Haven't been able to get into any of her material because she doesn't offer up anything different or unique. She essentially falls into place and gets lost amongst quite a few artist that have been releasing similar material. Wasn't too fond of Burning Love but would much rather her release records along that lines instead of Aishiteru. It's such a boring and bland song. I don't think I'll ever get around to liking Che'Nelle outside of her features. She handled herself nicely and was solid on After The Storm.

Edit: Should've phrased that much better. Haven't been able to get into her Japanese material because it doesn't come close to the quality of her English material. Whoops!

Sounds Good. Well, probably the worst of her digital singles that are gonna be included on this album, but it's still not bad at all. Cannot wait for her album, most excited I've been for a Japanese release all year.

Sorry you're missing out, but whatever have your opinion.

Haven't cared much for any of her Japanese material because it doesn't come close to Feel Good or Things Happen For A Reason. Che'Nelle has enough success and a solid following that should allow her a bit of autonomy and space to release much stronger material. Both Burning Love and Aishiteru are much too safe and boring. Looking forward to the remainder of the release just in case she decides to leave the more interesting or exciting material as album tracks.

The title of that song refers to her attempting to start again here I guess. She tried to debut here first with:

I HATE this song. It flopped but she did ok in Japan so she went there and became what she is now.

The thing is though is that her success and following comes from doing songs like her Japanese material.

Parts of Che'nelle's success is also contributed to the fact that she's really pretty and is foreign. A good looking foreign 20-something year old female is exactly what reals in the teenage girl fans in Japan, especially if they are good at singing and sing uplifting ballads.

@DocumentaLy: Forgot! She made the majority of her success based off of Love Songs and Believe but I don't think that Things Happen For A Reason didn't sell to bad but Feel Good definitely wasn't well received. Waiting for their to be a substantial change in Japan because the material currently being released by acts like Jamosa, Che'Nelle, Minmi and May J just aren't all that interesting in comparison to their older material.

I like it overall, but I hope to her her experiment a bit more. I still love her cover of Sakura.

It's Happening Again isn't her debut single within the United States but it's her attempting to reenter into the market and it appears to be her attempt at starting over. She released both I Fell In Love With A DJ and Hurry Up back in 2007 but they weren't as strongly received. She'll most likely be returning to her original sound and music with her reentering into the American market. You'll get much more material like Hurry Up and

I heard about her first with I Fell In Love With The DJ because this ratchet club my friend would drag me to would play it every Friday night when it first came out. I HATE that song. And then I heard about Believe a few years later and was like WTF, why is she in Japan now?

But yeah, these more urban-leaning girls need to get it together. I posted Minmi and Jamosa's new teasers in the J-Urban thread and I'm not feeling them. I'm still WTF at May J.'s cover album now being her best selling release ever in about a month.  But will people care when she releases her October mini album? Doubt it. A real confirmation if this cover album trend does anything for these acts' careers will be when Beni's new album's numbers come in. Her singles sure weren't helped by them.

Remember enjoying I Fell In Love With The DJ! Quite a few family members from Antigua would play it constantly and I'm going reminiscing with her older material. Haven't heard I Fell In Love With The DJ in the longest until this thread. Ha! I'm not going to bother looking into Jamosa because it's much too heartbreaking and haven't been able to deal with the material she has been releasing. I'm still willing to check out Minmi because her current material isn't bad but it doesn't sound anything like her past material or anything that she would actually release. Didn't know that May J's highest selling release was that cover album. Waiting to see if Kaela Kimura's cover album is going to be as strongly received or even sell decently like the other but I highly doubt it.

I didn't know that May J.'s cover album was her best selling release til I looked in the Oricon thread today. It cracked 100,000. She's never cracked 100,000.

I'm interested in Kaela Kimura's cover album too.
