I need some help.

Lately, I've been feeling very sad because I feel like my life is going down the drain.
Everyone around me is doing something special, while I'm just sitting at home doing nothing. I don't even have the motivation anymore to do something or try something new. Everyday, my life has been the same and it's turning to the point where I don't know where to go or what to do anymore. I feel lonely because every time I try to express this problem to someone, they never seem to understand. I feel angry at myself for not being motivated.

I've been crying a lot for the pass few days because I really don't know where to go with my life. The feeling hurts and I really need for someone to listen to me, which is why I chose to post about it here. Even though most of you will probably joke about this, I won't mind because in a way, it'll show that you're actually listening and I won't feel so lonely anymore.

You're not alone.  Everyone has gone through (or in due course will go through) the same feels and emotions that you are feeling now.

Venting online is good.  Having a heart-to-heart conversation with a trusted relative/friend would be better.

Have a listen to this. I found it very inspiring to listen to:

Motivation starts with something.

Make a goal. Strive toward it.

Get back into a old hobby.

Learn more about it. Expand your interests.

It's not about anybody else but yourself.

You don't need to please anyone.

It's your life. Make what you want with it.

If it gets worse, see a counselor.

But in the end in really does get better, but it all starts with you.

I know how you feel and I've been there.

The best way to get out of that situation is find something that makes you happy or motivates you and do it. If it's a complicated goal, make a flexible plan on how to achieve it.

Get out and go for a walk, even if it's alone. Go to the beach, park, forest, whatever really, the important thing is to break a daily pattern that is keeping you own.

Do some exercise if you don't do it already, even if it's a home. Exercising can make you feel better both physically and psychologically. It also gives you a goal to look better/ be healthier.

Go out with friends or meet new people. You are cute, so I don't think you will have any difficulty in finding people to go out with. Don't talk about your problems at first and just try to have fun.

Good luck!

Yoga Jones of Orange Is The New Black had quite a few insightful quotes but there is one that stands out the most and could probably help you. "Work hard to make something as meaningful and beautiful as you can and when you’re done, pack it in and know it was all temporary". It's all temporary and will eventually past but if that doesn't help then you could always listen to Get It Together by India Arie

why don't you try to find some job ??

even a part time job would be better instead sitting alone at home :)

I applied to several places a few months ago; had interviews with some of them, but didn't make it pass that.

I gave up after that because it makes me feel like I'm not good for anything.

Therapy? It might help you.

If you're not into that, even though I don't know you, you could send me a message. I'd be willing to listen. o:

I would like to go to therapy, but my mom would never understand why.

She'll just think I'm crazy for trying to seek help.

I tried talking to my cousin about this today, but it felt like talking to a wall.

Many of my other relatives are the same, they just don't care nor understand the problem.

How old are you? Genuine question.

17.

I know I should be feeling this way at this age, but I can't help it.

Do you have a school counselor or something(if you're still in school)? If so, try talking to them. I've done so, and it was quite helpful when I was in high school.

I've been through times like you've described; almost down to the word, as a matter of fact. While I didn't make use of psychological counseling at those times, I wish I had. Having an understanding ear is wonderful.

It's good that you're not trying to suffer in silence.

then what thing you feel mot confident on ??

since it might help you too~

I enjoy dancing and feel really confident when doing it. But I gave up my dream of becoming a dancer long ago when I told my family I wanted to become a dancer and they laughed. Not because I was bad at dancing, but they thought of it as a childish dream. To them, my dream should be to become either a doctor, lawyer, or an accountant; all the "money-making" professions. I shouldn't let them get in the way of what I love to do, but I can't help but feel like they're right.

I feel a lot better after talking about my situations online because there will be always someone that can relate.

Aww I understand this perfectly. I have been feeling like this for quite sometime, although I don't have a little more motivation than before. I use to feel the same way, I still do. A lot of times people wouldn't understand me at all it was so hard to deal with. Seeing all my firends with jobs and driving and here I am still laying around in bed most of the day. Sometimes it was really hard for me to even get up because I just completely lacked he motivation to do anything and a lot of times people would take it the wrong way. People would sometimes think that I was being lazy and that I was doing it on purpose, but in reality I was pissed at myself already for being like that, at I didn't/don't want to be like that at all. So what I did to get over some of it is to think to myself what I really wanted to do in life and I would tell myself "well, how are you ever going to get there if you get stuck like this?" It's really hard to deal with and I just really had to push myself to do anything. Getting freinds to help me with things or go with me places to get stuff done helped me a lot. But what helped me even more was knowing that there were some friends that were going through the same problem and encoureging each other to get motivate. I'm still not all the way over it, but I'm getting there, and I know you can do it too. If you ever need to talk, talk to me I'll listen. :)

You're right.

Maybe I should go back to dance class. I enjoyed going, but had to stop because my mom thought it was a waste of money.

I'll try to convince her again. Hopefully she'll actually listen to me and not completely ignore my wishes.

You should dance! There's so many opportunities for dancers. Are you in school or have you graduated? That's something you could do, take some classes to hone your skills. It's definitely not a childish dream, dancing is beautiful.

It's great that you've identified something that you are passionate about   :)   Doing something you enjoy brings its own reward (regardless of the monetary benefits or lack thereof).  The confidence acquired when you find you are good at something, is invaluable when you face the other challenges and obstacles that life invariably brings.

Fighting!!!

Also, obligatory pitch: watch Crayon Pop's MVs if you need to perk up your mood   :hurr:
