Do you read books in the library?

This might be a somewhat strange title but I was just curious as to whenever I stroll across my library at school, it is very crowded most of the time.. but when I look at most people to see what they are doing, pretty much everyone is just facebooking behind their laptops or just using their mobile... some even discuss/talk loud with their friends..

(to clarify, our school has a section where people can study with their  laptops n stuff, but also a different section with all the physical books and bookshelves etc, im talking about the latter one).

so maybe a couple of people are actually working on some school stuff but it seems to me the library was meant for people trying to find a nice quiet place to read some books. I rarely see people browsing the bookshelves trying to find a book for their study, let alone even reading it at a table or something.

Or maybe i'm just old fashioned that everyone is working online only? I use digital books and journals/databases too but from my experience the older physical books usually have some interesting stuff that you don't find online (when they aren't digitally available, which still is a decent amount).

So anyway, I was just curious to know what you guys are doing at the library..

Only if is some books that i needed to read because of school, university, or any other type of work that require some books that are either too expensive or hard to find.

For others books, like novels, I like to read in my room, so... Either I buy the books or I borrow it to read at home.

If I'm desperate I will borrow from the library. I prefer to read my own books [as in store bought and owned by me] but if there is a book in the library that I want to read then I'll check it out :3 [i usually don't borrow either because then I forget to return them]

Back in school I used to either borrow books and study at home or work with them in the library. I also think of library as a place where people could study quietly but I guess it changed with time and as technology expanded. I think that the size of library makes a bit of difference too. At my first uni the computers were in the library, so there was always a bunch of people using them and chatting but at my second uni the computers were located in the halls, so the library was only for people who actually wanted to look for something in the books or just study.

And I'm just like you. Digital books are convenient but there's always a lot more to find in traditional paper books :)

No I borrow books and read it at home. I stay in library just to use the wifi

No, I don't read in the library

I prefer to read in my room, on the bed. It's so comfortable (and I can eat during reading so yeah)
