1. [+223, -9] It's beneficial to serve earlier. Yoo Seung Ho is amazing

2. [+154, -8] Yoo Seung Ho is amazing indeed ã…‹ã…‹

3. [+139, -1] These idols were debuted years ago. Serve well~

4. [+78, -17] People compare them to Yoo Seung Ho but honestly, the lives of idols and actors are too different... Idols have to use their popularity when they're still young and then serve afterwards... They're living by their fandoms. Honestly, do you really think the idols will be able to keep their fandom the same after they serve? Actors live by the public, not fandoms, so it's possible for them

5. [+71, -1] TOP's father was a captain soldier! Make sure you serve in the military service properly! Bigbang's image is already bad enough. As a fan, I really want 5 of them serve in the proper military service!

6. [+63, -2] I'm curious, will Kim Hyunjoong get beaten up in the military? ã…‹ã…‹

7. [+57, -2] Crazy... Sungmin got married when he didn't even finish his service? He has no solutions ã…‹ã…‹

8. [+45, -4] Half of them will be off to public service and the other half will be off to being performers in the military

Finally someone said it. The career lifespan and peak years and - as mentioned above - the target audience of idols and actors are mostly so different.

knetizens are always pressed about enlistment ("why so late?", "better do well" , "make sure you serve properly" etc.) but I never saw them voice their opinion against the mandatory military system, expanding their meaning of patriotism. You can very well serve your country without joining the military. I kinda feel sorry for Korean men. They have to take a break for two years (for nothing!) and then return to their daily life trying to recover those lost years. 6 months is more than enough. In case of a war, the professional military counts, not them. Military strength is now based on sophisticated technology.

I thought that the celebrity solider bit was out and they had to do active duty.  :wut: Even so, if it counts as serving by performing, more power to them I guess, but they really should all be doing active duty.

but they could go when they are 18, 19, 20 right? Being 21 or 22 inst too old for male idols to debut at all. I think that would be best of all...but *shrugs* I am sure they have their reasons

The difference of fandom versus public, I absolutely agree with though.

The big question is will JYJ still stay as a group after enlistment time? I hope so, but I'm nervous.

Why on Earth would this be negged?  :wth:  It's a pretty common and reasonable fear.
