yes when first read the character description i also think this way

and tbh i prefer that dark and heavy role for him so...what a pity they changed that...

i wonder why did they change his character? hmm was it too hard for kyungsoo?

I think it's probably because it didn't fit with the tone of the drama - from all the teaser/trailers it would have been kind of off to go from funny/cheerful to dark and moody. Also maybe because it's about mental illness they didn't want to add to the negative/stereotypes that already exists.

I still think his character will be angsty etc. but just not as dark as what was originally planned

I think something like this is not rare in this industry, changing the script/character by adjusting the siyuation/real character of the cast.

His palm must be sweaty from nervousness

I like Song Dong il talking to him..

I think Kdramas has like this....nmmmm... how to say it?

First, the like to introduce it with a bright, comedic and light syory😧, but then, changing into dramatic and tragic???

i have feeling that a dark role will fit him well, and i still think that his role in Cart will be like that

so it's ok he has a cheerful character in this drama cause ppl can see more aspects of his acting

It's also a good thing.

How well he deliver the contrast character in just a short time, while being an idol.

He's so shy...

Do Kyungsoo - A sincere actor

Jo Insung

"Kyungsoo and I have a lot of scenes in the film, some people might suspect that he

got many scenes because of EXO's fame, but Kyungsoo gives me a special (good) feeling,

I was glad the director and producers found such a good actor like him. I would always feel very

surprised when I film together with him.

Kyungsoo's acting skill was so good to the point that even screenwriter Noh Heekyung and

director Kim Kyutae were surprised.

Kim PD

Kyungsoo's original role was supposed to be a dark and heavy character, but the producers

changed his role to a bright and cheerful character. "Do Kyungsoo acts very casually but he acts

well." To be honest, everything Kyungsoo does is cute, he brings us a cheerful and good

ambience. He has his own style of acting, he's able to make any face expressions and lines cute.

and Gong Hyojin also said something

Gong Hyojin

" It's such a pity that Kyungsoo only has scenes with Jo Insung " Kyungsoo has received

a lot of love from the crew as he's the maknae, and he didn't hide his cute personality. "Kyungsoo

is still trying to adapt to the press con, everyone please don't mind and please like him."

& Some Kyungsoo quotes

"Senior Jo Insung and Lee Kwangsoo are tall, I admire them. They're both very tall, I want

to grow taller too. Sadly, I'm short."

"I played the role of a fan in "It's Okay, It's Love", I've come to realise that they (fans)

are really amazing."

Maybe they gave it to make public believe in his acting, but at tge same time, it's also gives him more burden to do even more...

But let's see....

It's next week. Yho I still think he won't appear that early ??

Do Kyung-soo ‘Learning While Filming ‘It’s Alright, It’s Love’’

On July 15, the press release for SBS’ new drama ‘It’s Alright, It’s Love’ was held at Imperial Palace Hotel in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam District, Seoul. Do Kyung-soo plays ‘Han Gang-woo’, a high school student who is a big fan of Jang Jae-yeol (Jo In-sung). He dreams of becoming a novelist. Although being bright and energetic, he keeps painful memories.

Do Kyung-woo said, “It is an honor to work with great senior actors and writer. I will do my best.â€

When asked about if he is a real fan of Jo In-sung, Do Kyung-soo said, “I am a huge fan of him. I had a haircut like him after watching ‘Dirty Carnival’. He always teaches and takes care of me a lot when filming in the set. I am learning at the same time of working.â€

Do Kyung-soo could not answer when he was asked about episodes happened during filming. Jo In-sung, Gong Hyo-jin and producer Kim Kyu-tae answered for him, proving they are taking great care of him as he is the youngest member of the cast.

Being cheered by the help from them, Do Kyung-soo said, “I once walked with the writer when we just started filming. I was having a hard time acting my character. But the writer she helped me understand my character. She told me so many good things.â€

Producer Kim Kyu-tae said, “I first thought Do Kyung-soo would be daunted a little. But he was able to act naturally after we helped me feel comfortable. He looked good doing anything. He looks attractive whatever he reads or act,†highly praising his potentials as actor.

Highly anticipated Do Kyung-soo’s first drama SBS’s ‘It’s Alright, It’s Love’ will be first aired at 10pm on July 23.

edit: here is the collection of news articles http://do-fan.com/xe/DATA/4122715

s/n: I wish the press/new would call him Do Kyungsoo instead of D.O for his acting stuff. Obviously it's expected but didn't they get the memo
