Now before this all the (few) fancams I’ve watched had somewhat distorted audio and it was not until W2D’s vid that I realized HOLY SHIT KYUNGSOO WAS SINGING LIVE.

But then I noticed that after he finished at 1:39 he said smthg into the mic but there’s no sound? That was when I began doubting my ears and asked Chris who’d gone to the concert whether it’s live. She said yes, but couldn’t be sure ‘cos too much screaming and trying not to faint lol. But how then do you explain the mic thing? 

I also noticed Soo had this chest popping movement during his solo but his voice didn’t waver? Do you know how difficult this is? Like for one’s voice to stay controlled during moving you’ve got to accurately project from your diaphragm and that is SUPER HARD. But THEN we’re talking about Do Kyungsoo and he’s always had better voice control than Baekhyun when dancing and I was sooo confused. Kyungsoo also managed to sound exactly the same all three nights but again, Soo is such a stick-in-the-butt perfectionist he doesn’t like impromptu adlibs when he’s already practiced them a certain way. It also doesn’t make sense that Baek sang live for his solo (his was super obvious lol) and Soo, being the other main vocal, don’t. But I don’t want to rely on my hearing skills and blindly side with Soo just cos he’s my bias.

Anywayzzz, this LOVELY LOVELY PERSON sent me this picture of their rundown for proof that Soo DID INDEED SING LIVE and that there’s nothing wrong with my discerning skills (so relieved cos I would be so ashamed since I’m in the bloody audio field) and NOW I WANT TO HARP ON HOW GLORIOUS THAT MEANS COS

1. Soo was PITCH FREAKING PERFECT. He delivered strength and softened at parts needed & HIS BLOODY RIFFING WAS FLAWLESSSS 

2. As said before, he was doing a chest pop and stomping his legs (lmao so cute) but it DIDN’T HAMPER HIS DELIVERY ONE BIT. I’m MAD IMPRESSED with the amount of control and strength he had over his diaphragm and breathing WHAT THE HECKKKK DO KYUNGSOO U R A FREAKING PRO

3. His performance was A+++++++++++++++++ CD QUALITY

like I’ve always known Kyungsoo to have the ability to sound like he just ate the CD (listen to his “Baby don’t cry†radio cuts) but THIS IS ANOTHER LEVEL our baby is singing in front of a CROWD and he DIDN’T FALTER i’m so proud /whimpers/

What about the mic thingy? I’m still not sure, the engineer was probably too eager to switch off the mic I guess lol. But now that the fact’s cleared, let’s have a review of his glorious performance all round:
