Oh, don't be so harsh. She was fine. She only had problems hitting the really high note towards the end. Otherwise, she was very smooth. I just watched it. She was cute as well. The Korean grandma's will like it.

True. However, truth be told, trot is very long lasting. All those ajussi and ajumma's stopping at the highway rest stops buy those trot singles on their way.

 

Trot singers, although not the most money makers, last long time. Many of them do starve but many will be working a long after those idol singers are done and disbanded. Lizzy is smart. If she can capture a good portion of the trot listeners, she can perform for a long time. She will have to work on her high notes, though. The thing that is going for her is that she is already a known entertainer and has national presence througy many TV apperances. Brilliant strategy.

Are they really? Lizzy isn't the best singer. I'm not saying she's horrible, but I listened to the performance and there are parts that are a bit struggly(not a word btw)

I mean yeah, she did flub some parts like that second last high note (the last high note was almost flawless), but she's not that bad.
