in my time on the forum I've noticed that these are the songs most often cited as clusterducks (u know what i mean), but despite that there's still some of us that enjoy them

please choose your favorite from the poll and if you want explain why it's actually a jam to you :)

red light and IGAB. I hated IGAB when it came out and still think that Jessica's solo part should have been edited out (no shade it's just one part too many), but last summer I started craving it and added it to my workout playlist. idk why I just like it more now.and red light honestly wasn't put together very well as a song and I can tell, but I still like it.

Wolf, for the most part. Tbh, I hated it at first, and I thought Chanyeol was creepy af. Then when I got into EXO more, I gave it a few more listens and now I have it on my phone...  :imstupid: 

 

And am I the only one that liked IGAB at the first listen? Honestly, this was the song that got me to look into K-Pop more (along with Gangnam Style).

Didn't know that I Got A Boy was considered a mess in these circles.

 

I Got A Boy is one of the finest songs in Kpop. No joke, the variety of melodies, key changes, and shifts the song experiences is quite the undertaking for any producer to make any sense of. Somehow, thematically, it all still perfectly meshes as a cohesive whole. I consider it more of an experience to listen to rather than just a title track. It seriously gives me goosebumps every time it shows up on my iTunes. It's the quintessential Soshi song, it perfectly encompasses their entire career - from cute to chic to fierce, and it also shows off every single member's talents equitably. 

 

There goes my vote.

Baddest Female from the options but my favorite hot mess song is Bonamana. The video is cheesy, the song is weird and doesn't suit my taste at all (in fact, the same goes for most of the SuJu songs I listened to) but it's so damn catchy.

I Got A Boy is one of those songs where you're thrown off and bewildered by every very sudden musical turn it takes, but ya can't help but jam to it. It's like the song didn't know which sound it wanted to go with, so it incorporated them all in this hot mess of a bop. My favorite part is whatever is happening at 3:06-3:31 with Tiffany and Taeyeon singing with that rock edge (?). On the first listen, you never see any of these things coming, and you're shocked this clusterfuck is actually one song, but it all somehow sounds good and addictive put all together.  :ahmagah:
