They became trainees in May, 2011. They joined EXO in November [only in 4 months] then EXO made their debut on April 8, 2012. So it took them a year training to become EXO’s members. Among SM’s singers, it said they took the shortest training time. But there were still some problems since it was so fast. For Chen’s situation, he lacked of dancing, he had to spend extra 4 hours compared to other members. And Baekhyun had to change all of his vocalization when he sang ã… ã… Both of them first met each other on the audition and became friends. They said they thought about they made it till the end. As expected, their motivation for joining the company was increased and debuted as EXO’s main vocals. But whenever they receive any awards, they feel sorry towards their members that they hold their tears back ã… ã… . They usually comfort hyungs and dongsaengs who have long training period, it’s so hard to see them crying. There were lots of friendly comments at that time.. I thought how SM brought them into the group only 4 months before debut… how would it be if they were not there.. Anyways, they’re so admirable. They had the determination to do it, they worked in that time as much as they could to not let the others members down, and that's is something we should always remember. They said that when BaekChen along with Lay, Kyungsoo & Chanyeol guested in Sukira radio in 2013 in which Ryeowook sympathized with BaekChen 'coz he too felt the same way during his early years in SJ, having a short training period himself. Yeah.....it was a bit sad during their 2013 winning days when they have to hold back their tears (except for Baekhyun's uncontrolled tears in MAMA 2013) for that reason but i admire them at the same time for showing such Respect for the other members' hard work. At least now they're allowing their selves to shed tears & somewhat letting out their emotions whenever they win awards. I'm happy for them really. Those two are precious gems.
