Artist that you used to love and respect, but they broke your heart by selling out? Who are they?

Are there any artists that you used to enjoy listening to and respected, but ultimately came to loath because what you loved about them changed drastically for the worse?

I have numbers of artist who ended up disappointing me and it hurt me really bad, but these three.....just did it in for me.

  1. Snoop Dogg - ranks at number one for me. Back in the 90's he was the SHIT, he was a hero, I loved his music and it brings back such nostalgia. After starting out with Death Row as a dynamic artist, he then went to No Limit and still held my respect. A decade later he's fucking with these K-pop stars???! and changing his name to Snoop Lion?!? I will still give him the benefit of the doubt and claim it's a midlife crisis. Of course, I love K-pop, but I like some things to remain separated.
  2. Lil Wayne - He really should've taken the number one spot for so many obvious reasons, but I'm giving him a 2 spot because he hasn't clashed with K-pop...yet. I don't even know what to say about this hot fucking mess. I fell in LOVE with him back in the days with Cash Money records, he was like an idol to me. For fucks sake, he doesn't even LOOK like he's the same guy. Probably because he isn't the same guy. Lil Wayne is a living tragedy.  x_a12f365c.jpg
  3. Ludacris - Once a FAVORITE artist of mine ( he won me over with Red Light District), he failed me when he messed with Justin Bieber. He's lost all the cred he worked so hard for. He's nothing more than a mere Hip POP star :horror:

You sound so retarded lol

Ludacris is no longer valid because he did a kid pop song with Bieber? Seriously? I suppose you don't see how he supported Usher by doing that song.

Snoop Dogg is a musical artist, meaning he can sing whatever genre he likes without caring if people like it or not. If he liked reggae, let him sing the reggae. It's about what the singer wants to sing not what you want

Judging you for ever liking Lil Wane that much tbh

Lupe Fiasco. Lasers was awful. His political views are also stupid as fuck.

Everything he says is stupid

Chris Brown. he showed so much promise and then he fucked it all up.

THIS! Idek wtf had happened.

When he debuted, I was sooooo in love with him. He and his music was flawless, takes me back to my high school days.

I was not too far off of that B2K->B5 phase, so he came right on time during those years.

Ugh, shut up. No one gives a shit about all of that - this thread is only opinions.

I don't care how much of an "artist" he was and don't care that he can sing whatever genre he likes w/o caring what people think. I thought the music he put out before was simply A+, before he let down most of his fans.

And how can you judge someone for preferring Wayne then as opposed to now?

Your judgement is irrelevant anyway, tbh.

Pls just go sit down somewhere with that dumb shit.

Chris Brown

Usher

Irocc Williams

Beyonce

Selena Gomez

Alicia Keys

I hate to admit it, but I also agree with you on Alicia Keys.

No doubt, she produces quality music and I love her as an entertainer, it just doesn't capture me like she used to.

The Diary of Alicia Keys was a helluva album tbh, it's been a long time since I've heard her match up to that.

You actually liked B5? I feel like they had so much potential but Diddy just fucked them over and barely promoted them.

Chris Brown (though I won't lie and say I dislike him altogether) and

50 Cent, I admire his decision to stay behind the scenes and I love put it down on me but still unimpressed with his music.

When has Diddy NOT fucked over anyone???

I loved B5 so much, I felt that they had a lot of potential, too. I was surprised at how short lived they really were. They were preparing for comebacks and all of that, but it just never fell through like it was supposed to. And that hurt a lot, as a fan.

Haha! Can I say that I agree with you with 50 as well?

Tbh, Get Rich or Die Trying was probably his best and will be as good as it gets. The Massacre was alright. Curtis was a.....dare I say that word? As for everything else, I can't even say anything :/

Metallica just started sucking shit randomly.

They started sucking after The Black Album tbh. Death Magnetic was like a poorly executed attempt to return to their 80s style but it didn't really do it for me. And that Lulu collab.......not even gonna get into it.

Hilarious how I was just talking about their disappearance last night and now this!

Today, my cousin had mentioned how he had been gone to basic training and he comes back and B5 is back, lmfao! I dismissed it at first and didn't believe it until I saw this link.

Tbh, the song really isn't that bad at all! I like it!

But the choreography is A+++!!!!!

It's a simple video and I can appreciate that.

And omg, Patrick, Kelly, and Bryan look too much alike. Bryan has blossomed quite nicely. I'm glad Kelly cut those braids off.

Carnell was (and still is for that matter) my bias lol! We're the same age, so I liked him.

Now, Bryan is my loveeeee!! He looks so much like a grown version of my adorable baby nephew <333

IRK? I was spazzing, like WTF is this real life.

This must be a sign, lol.

Though I am little disappointed with the lack of lines from Kelly, Bryan and Carnell.

They all look so good and the song is very easy on the ears, I hope that this gets a lot of radio play.

I cant believe they are actually making a comeback...I also love Carnell, sexy as fuck
