Looking at the five-day records for both dramas, 200 Pounds Beauty hit 940,000 views on its fifth day, while Today′s Love recorded 970,000, making it a bit speedier.

Looking at the speed of a million views for movies of similar genres, All About My Wife (total views: 4,590,000) took 7 days, Architecture 101 (total views: 4,110,000) 8 days, Spellbound (total views: 3,000,000) 10 days, Cyrano Agency (total views: 2,680,000) 9 days, Love 911 (total views: 2,470,000) 7 days, My Love, My Bride (total views: 2,140,000) 9 days. The results are making people wonder if Today′s Love will set a new record.

Premiered on the same day as Today′s Love, Ha Jung Woo and Ha Ji Won′s Chronicles of a Blood Merchant and Ben Stiller′s Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb are keeping the competition alive as Today′s Love fends for first place in the box office.

Today′s Love is Lee Seung Gi′s first movie and is also starred by Moon Chae Won. Directed by Park Jin Pyo, the movie unfolds the story of two people in an ambiguous relationship.

‘Today’s Love’ hits million in audience, so does Lee Seung-gi in the big screen

A new movie star, Lee Seung-gi, who played the leading role in the movie ‘Today’s Love’, hit his fourth jackpot in the big screen, following his career in dramas, entertainment shows and singing.

Lee Seung-gi’s first start was as a singer. He debuted on June 5th, 2004 at the age of 17 with his first single ‘Because You’re My girl’, which was a popular ballad which created a ‘love for older girls’ syndrome. He then officially transformed into an actor in KBS’s 2006 weekend drama, ‘The Infamous Seven Sisters’. Lee started to be cast as the main male character in his next dramas and was recognized as both an actor and money maker, starting with ‘Brilliant legacy’ in 2009, which had its stop spot in viewer ratings over 40%, followed by ‘My Girlfriend Is a Nine-Tailed Fox’, ‘The King 2 Hearts’, ‘Gu Family Book’.

He moved on to the entertainment industry, starring in a reality show ‘1 Night, 2 Days’, a night talk show ‘Strong Heart’, and ‘Sisters Over Flowers’, a traveling program, showing his warm, sweet character.

Lee, who has proved to be an all-rounder, has finally made his successful debut in the filmdom, showing good acting talents in the movie ‘Today’s Love’.

In the movie, he played the role of ‘Jun-su’, a guy who gets dumped by a girl every single time before their 100th day anniversary and carried through on this acting, drawing attention on his career ahead.

Lee Seung-gi, who has conquered the peaks of singing, dramas and entertainment shows, is now about to reach the top of another peak, the big screen, proving that he is a true blue chip.

Meanwhile, ‘Today’s Love’ hit the theaters on January 14th, and marked over a million in audience, just in 6 days.

Yessssss Seunggi get that money. I`m so glad he is doing well considering he is going to army soon. Can`t wait for the album ,going away with style. :ahmagah:

Hope it'll slay fo longer. The number one movie is consistent for over a month "Ode To My Father", I also wanna see it, a family tear jerker!!!

Hope Seung Gi will ride the Gyro (5M goers -his promise)

:rlytearpls: He'll go.  Hook (his agency) better sweat a little and give him proper promotion for his album, the boy used to promote his own self by playing his CDs in the the car during 1 Night 2 Days golden era.

Hope he does many fanmeetings around Asia and close it with a concert before leaving.  :stare:

the movie is about a 'Some' relationship-among hot discussion after soyou & junggigo song was released

plus there's lee seunggi and moon chae won. of course people would want to watch them

congrats to every involved in the film production

Actually, the reviews and critisism said that the promise was of "Some" but it was more of a one-sided love Jun SU (Lee Seung Gi) carried for Hyun Woo (Moon Chae Won).

They said that if some characters's parts were cut and added more time for the couple, it'd have been much better.

They added that the leads (LSG & MCW) acting is great and realistic, their chemistry is so sizzling HOT that it's the main purpose people are watching (and rewatching).

But people are still going. The total recipe after 6 days is 92,445 goers (1,065,710 in total), and the daily gross iss $652,655 ($7,894,264 in total)
