JYJ’s Junsu talked about his ‘Genie Time’ that has been settled as one of the events during his concerts.

On March 21, Junsu held a press conference for his tour concert “2015 XIA 3rd Asia Tour Concert in Thailand ‘Flower'†at Thailand Bangkok Rebua At State Tower, where he talked about his feelings ahead of the concert and the behind-story for preparing his 3rd full-length album ‘Flower’.

During the conference, Junsu said, “I started to hold the ‘Genie Time’ since my concert in Japan. I wasn’t fluent in Japanese, so I prepared the event to have fun.â€

He continued, “I started it because I wanted to show what fans want from me, but sometimes I feel burdened. It’s fun because whenever I hold a concert, fans come prepared for ‘Genie Time’. Since it’s not on the written script, I get nervous, but it’s fun.â€

He added, “Sometimes I try not to do it because I always do the same thing. But looking at fans preparing for ‘Genie Time’ as concert day comes, I just can’t ignore it.â€

Junsu released his third full-length album ‘Flower’ on March 3. With his concerts in Osaka, Seoul, and Shanghai, Junsu met 48,000 fans in total.

Meanwhile, Junsu will continue his Asia tour in Tokyo, Japan on March 24-26.

(Ohmyjunsu’s T/N: The farm story is from a 2010? interview where Junsu said that after the split, they had to seriously consider the possibility that they would never be able to sing ever again. Junsu said they thought about going to the countryside and farming.

This rap-off looks spontaneous and fun on the surface, but under the goofiness, Junsu and Jaejoong also covered deeply rooted issues that really are not justified. What’s so bad about putting Junsu on stage? Why can’t Junsu go on a radio show hosted by the very artist who featured in his comeback album’s title song? Why did these talented artists feel so much despair that they contemplated moving away and farming, just because they dared to fight for their rights and freedom? I’m sure the two of them started this rap-off with a playful mindset, but some more topics came out naturally and Junsu’s rap became more and more serious. I decided to write this more detailed translation/explanation because I saw some comments that painted their rap battle as thoughtless, dorky rambling so I hope this post can give everyone some more information on the rap’s meaning and significance)

[NEWS] 150325 XIA Junsu Calls JYJ’s Latest Japanese Single a Miracle

 

 

XIA Junsu shows his surprise at how his group JYJ is still well-received in Japan despite not having any activities in the country.

When asked about the group’s recent Japanese single, the singer expressed his amazement of how well-received JYJ still is in Japan by calling it a “miracle.†The group composed of members Kim Jaejoong and Park Yoochun including XIA Junsu himself did not have any prior television or radio appearances to promote their single. However, they still managed to top Japanese music charts.

He expressed his gratitude to Japanese fans, saying â€œWe will work even harder to show a more developed image of ourselves in the future.â€

JYJ′s Kim Junsu has confirmed his appearance on a music program.

C-JeS Entertainment stated, “Kim Junsu has confirmed to appearing on EBS′ music program, Space Sympathy. By appearing onSpace Sympathy, which has been continuing for more than 10 years, we′ll be showing a new side to Kim Junsu through audience interaction on the small theater stage.

 

 

 

As the Space Sympathy performance will be held in a small theater, Kim Junsu is preparing to put on a stage that will make his voice stand out. Especially with his voice and performance acknowledged, people are anticipating the special stages that Kim Junsu will hold.

Ahead of the performance, Kim Junsu stated, “I′m very happy to be appearing in a program that had many amazing artists, such as Shin Joon Hyun, Song Chang Shik sunbaenim, and even Jason Mraz. I′ve said at many interviews that it′s my dream to hold a small theater concert, so I feel that my dream has come true. I hope to have a great time sympathizing with many people in the audience.â€

An affiliate also stated, “It′s a huge issue in itself that an acknowledged global artist like Kim Junsu is appearing. As he′s been performing in Korea, as well as Asia, Europe, and even South America after album releases, we′re discussing whether or not to set up an online streaming for global fans who love Kim Junsu.â€

Kim Junsu released his third solo album, Flower on March 3, receiving much praise for having many genres and showing a new potential as an artist. He is currently traveling to meet fans on his Asia tour, stopping in Osaka, Seoul, Shanghai, Bangkok and Tokyo.
