Ehhh. When you hear her talk about her life its not very happy no matter how she tries to act. She only spent three years of her childhood living with her parents. Most of it was being shuffled between different relatives in different countries. Her father didn't visit her for years at a time.

 

I've always tbought she actually has a realistic understanding of celebdom in Korea. She might say some controversial things but she knew you needed attention if you are a celeb. She's given interviews and said even if someone is talking negatively about you at least they're talking about you.

 

When I found out about het childhood those comments took on another meaning because kids who dont feel they get enough attention from their parents will act out for it. I think her view and attitude is impacted by parental abscence which built her character.
