WIP= Work In Progress

I tend to stay away from those and stick with Completed ones (for my sanity). I hate the waiting game so much. it makes me so devoted to the fanfic lmao. The only time I would read a WIP if it's from an author I really really love or if the summary/fic is really good and keeps my interest.

I try to only read them if I know the author is good for updating it, but I'm not totally against them. Ofc I'd rather a completed fic, but my favorite fic to this day is actually one that was never finished..the writer stopped like halfway through, but I literally just reread it for the 5th time a few days ago because it's a masterpiece, OTL.

I read both. It's 50/50 for me and I hate one-shots. I need an in depth plot. My favorite fanfic has not updated in a year. But I'm reading a lot of WIPs right now. Yet I'm currently in a drought. No one has been updating regularly so I'm re-reading some old completeds fics.

yes.

I've been reading this one fic for years and it only just updated this year. I always have to reread it after it updates  :cry:

I sometimes do this too. The struggle OTL

I'm okay with one shots. However there are one shots where it's over 20K words...those are the best  :hurr:

I don't read that many FanFics, but when I do, I tend to only read the completed ones. Never the WIP, Abandoned or One-Shots. Reason why? Because if I'm reading a damn good FanFic, and it just suddenly ended with no conclusion, that would irritate me to no end. One-Shots don't generally interest me, as I like a long, in-depth story with many chapters.
