Personally, I find the whole thing about how you can't cheer for more than one group especially during music shows to be one of the things I like the least about kpop fandom.

If a performance is good, then people should be able to show that. And people should be able to stan for more than one group if they want. It's not that serious.

I heard that the Style Icon Awards was filled with g.o.d. stans and that's one of the reasons why the audience was so dead when CL performed. That's a shame.

I actually only skimmed the top...but now that I actually go deeper.

People are starting to accept multifandom LIKE gay/bisexual/lesbian people - it wasn't right at first but it slowly is, most people are accepting it but a minority of people (like me) are still confused why the hell it is being accepted because IT'S STILL WRONG

The hell?

I can stan who I DAMN WELL PLEASE!

If you only focus on that ONE group and just hear other groups on occasion, you're effectively isolating yourself from other great groups and you're isolating your love for K-Pop. Sometimes it's not about which group you want to become successful and slay all the others. Sometimes it's about spreading K-Pop and the one way to do that, is by supporting other groups.

This is why fan girls need to open their eyes and start supporting girl groups. Not just male groups or your one specific male group.

Or maybe they simply didn't like her performance? People aren't obliged to cheer to cheer for performers they don't like. Unless you're at a school recital then you have to cheer for everyone.

Unfortunately many fans, both internationally as well as in Korea, believe it to some extent. They may not be as extreme as the person who posted but they still buy into the whole kpop idea that idol groups and soloists have to compete with each other all the time. Here in the US there are fans that like to play favorites with artists but it's nowhere near the level that it is in kpop. In general, here in the US artists try to compete for the the attention of fans, not against each other. It makes kpop just seem more immature and childish.
