why does everyone encourage girls to challenge traditional feminine roles but when men challenge traditional masculine roles they're looked down upon?

when u see a feminine boy do u automatically assume he's gay? but when you see a tomboy girl you don't automatically assume she's gay? ur femme-phobic tbh

DO U THINK its ok for girls to like "boy things" like sports etc but think its weird for guys to like "girl things" like cooking, shopping, makeup etc? ur femme phobic tbh

this is why everyone needs to stan underrated beauty/songbird/troubadour/charity queen/ethnic vocalist/feminist choi sooyoung

Yeah it's a legit thing. And it's related to misogny yet on seperate scales. Like for example Asia is more sexist but less femmephobic thenthe west, while the west is more femmephobic but less sexist. It's weird.

It can be because of many things, like misogyny, homophobia, religious beliefs and the fact women have a movement that actively works to release them from stereotypical gender roles, but men don't.

Honestly speaking, in my country femme guys aren't really well accepted outside of certain circles. Women have some more flexibility in that regard, but they still can't get away with certain choices without some degree of criticism.

isn't that what people do with amber?

crying @ you promoting sooyoung at the end

In US You literally have to be androgynous to be considered masculine as a female. Whereas if an otherwise masculine guy is caught having any feminine tendency or hobby he's extreeeeeeemely feminine, emasculated, not a real man etc etc. The penalty for men who break gender rules is harsher in general because there's a perception that femininity is inferior.

i don't think i've ever seen anyone ever ship amber with a dude. it's always a female idol.

IMO anyone who says that women aren't labeled as gay if they look and dress like a tomboy apparently don't pay much attention.

oh, are those romantic ships? i don't know about kris, but i thought people treated her and henry like they do with him and sunny (AKA platonic)

i could be wrong tho, i don't really ship so i don't keep close tabs on the different pairings. i just know kryber is a huge one.
