Some dumb viral marketing shit

Godzilla opens May 16, 2014 in 3D starring Aaron Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn, and Bryan Cranston.

Didn't really care for it at first but after seeing Ken Watanabe's name I'm suddenly interested.

It’s been revealed that Japanese actor Akira Takarada, one of the stars of the original “Godzilla," will have a cameo appearance in the upcoming Hollywood “Godzilla" reboot

Dude on right is the director Gareth Edwards.

Are you excited?

So what? It still sucks.

um, of course the majority of the cast is going to be white. it's hollywood. u don't see bollywood remakes featuring a cast other than indian

at least they're casting a japanese actor on a japanese movie remake.

Yes

Don't give two fucks who the actors are. Godzilla is the star.

And as long as it doesn't follow the 1998 shit movie, I'll be fine.

Absolutely! Would've been a bit hesitant about Godzilla being remade a few years ago but after seeing Pacific Rim I don't have any hesitations about this film being remade. They've put together a cast of solid and great actors. Aaron Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen have proven themselves to be amongst the stronger actors in the new generation. They've both delivered in the majority of their films but am most excited to see Olsen attached to the project because she is such a breathe of fresh air. Don't have anything put absolute praise and respect for both Watanabe and Cranston because they are both excellent and masters of their respective crafts. Akira being featured as a guest is a nice and respectful touch. Gareth is a bit hard to all but he is essentially in his element especially with all of the production and CGI work going into the film. Would've like to have seen more Japanese actors and actresses cast and the white washing is a bit troublesome but I'll be able to look past that because their is quite a bit of effort being put forth. Seeing Godzilla on the big screen again is going to be lovely! He is such a star.

"That's a lot of fish."

Hopefully, this remake is better than the last American remake.

Which, let's be honest, is not a hard thing to do at all.

Lol I think they have a better chance.

It seems like the director has a better sense of this movie. Plus they have Frank Darabont doing the writing, whose credits include Walking Dead, Shawshank Redemption and the Green Mile.

While I can understand the reservations, I think it'll do better than the 1998 movie. They should do better.
