Juvia 1,866 Posted January 4, 2015 Share Posted January 4, 2015 hello onehallyu, I come to you in my time of need so I'll be going on a lovely family roadtrip with my mother and her newish husband and the problem is he is the biggest fan of fox news and the spawn of bill o'reilly and rush limbaugh now I normally wouldn't care because I know people have different views and even though some may be exceedingly dumb I can smile and nod if they're not hurting anyone. But he is honestly the most hateful person I have ever met and spews toxic bullshit about 'chinks, niggers, and fags' all day and even out loud in public. It's embarrassing as hell and I'm constantly trying to stop myself lashing out because of his absolute insults to humanity that he'll say to the faces of the particular people he's complaining about. It bothers me especially since I am not very straight myself and I'm afraid he'd turn his vitriol on me if I ever showed any signs of it. We'll be leaving for our roadtrip tomorrow and I don't know if I'll be able to hold myself back from starting shit and getting my ass kicked out when he hits every nerve of mine for hours and hours tl;dr dealing with being an angsty teen with an ass of a family member, please help Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I wouldn't be able to deal with someone like that either. Don't set him off and if you are gonna say something to him about his views, try to do it in a respectful way so he won't pop off at you LOL. Get an audio book on there or something. Download an emulator on your phone/tablet and get an Ace Attorney rom (well this is what I did before so that's why it's so specific) You can't change people as you know, but don't let his bigotry ruin anything for you.
