Let me explain: 1. The two of them are selfish, and clearly wanted to outdo the other and not do an amazing performance. It was about how will i win, not how will we have the best performance and how will i showcase my talent while giving a spectacular performance. 2. This was a chance to show them what team work is. Even if you guys are competitors, that does not mean you can mess up a stage that people are coming to see. Imagine if you spent money and went to a concert and two awkward people are paired together, does it make sense for them to give you a bad performance because of their own insecurities and inabilities to work together? No. 3. It would have also shown both of them, that when you dont work together, you are putting not only your partner at risk but yourself as well. It would have also shown both of them, that when you dont work together, you are putting not only your partner at risk but yourself as well. totally agree with this! hyorin even pointed out that it looked like they prepared the performances separately and just put it together then on the stage in front of the judges. even if they feel awkward or they don't feel close to each other - it's basic professionalism to deliver a good performance regardless. they really lacked teamwork and proper collaboration.
