The Cast of ′Gu Family Book′ Choose Their Favorite Scenes

The cast of MBC′s Gu Family Book chose their favorite scenes from the drama, which now only has two episodes left until its conclusion.

When asked by producers to pick a scene, each cast member picked out their own favorites, most of which of course involved the main lead Lee Seung Gi.

Lee Seung Gi: "I want to be human."

Lee Seung Gi was often praised for his depiction of half-man, half-beast Choi Kang Chi. The actor himself chose the scene in which he spilled tears before his teacher, Lee Soon Shin (Yoo Dong Geun) as his favorite scene.

At the time of the shoot, after receiving some heavy advice from Yoo Dong Geun, Lee Seung Gi immediately started spilling tears to express Choi Kang Chi′s sorrow. Yoo Dong Geun also shed a few tears that weren′t down in the script, perfecting the mood of the scene.

"Something warm hit me from deep down inside," Lee Seung Gi said. "I don′t think I′ll ever forget this scene."

Suzy: Love under the peach blossoms

Suzy said, "I remember most the scene in which I first meet Choi Kang Chi at a peach blossom tree under a crescent moon. Choi Kang Chi and Dam Yeo Wool didn′t know each other, but in that moment they were pulled into a relationship, so I can′t forget it. The shoot itself took place in a dreamlike and sad atmosphere."

Lee Sung Jae: Choi Kang Chi′s broom

Lee Sung Jae appears as the villain Jo Kwan Woong, and constantly goes against Choi Kang Chi. There are many scene in which they engage in battle, but Lee Sung Jae chose the scene in which Choi Kang Chi breaks apart his writing table with a broom.

The actor explained that he remembers the scene because it strengthened Choi Kang Chi′s will and caused deeper strife between him and Jo Kwan Woong.

During the actual shoot, he also mentioned that Lee Seung Gi had cleaved the writing table exactly in two with the broom for real, surprising everyone on set.

Jo Sung Ha: Training with Choi Kang Chi

Jo Sung Ha chose as his favorite scene the one in which he trained Choi Kang Chi with his life on the line. For this scene, Jo Sung Ha practiced whenever he had time every day and night, and the shoot itself also lasted until the next morning.

Yoo Yeon Seok: Making up with Choi Kang Chi

Yoo Yeon Seok said his favorite was when Choi Kang Chi showed his trust toward Park Tae Seo, and broke through the spell that had been binding him. The two were best friends in the beginning, but Park Tae Seo attempted to kill Choi Kang Chi after being caught in Jo Kwan Woong′s spell.

Choi Kang Chi tried to approach Park Tae Seo even while getting beaten up, and the two finally triumphed against the spell and made up in tears. Yoo Yeon Seok said he couldn′t forget this scene because he spilled so much tears this day.

Lee Yu Bi: The kiss under the cherry blossoms

Lee Yu Bi chose the scene in which she kisses Choi Kang Chi under the cherry blossom tree. It was the first scene in which Park Chung Jo expresses her love toward the man. She especially said she remembers how the staff worked hard to blow the cherry blossom petals their way.

Producer Park Tae Young said, "The actors exploded with passion during the last four months and perfected the piece. You can look forward to what will happen in the last two episodes coming up."

In the previous episode, Choi Kang Chi said goodbye to Dam Yeo Wool after realizing that the two couldn′t be together anymore.
