More specifically his production/composition team with his friend TaeJoo Kim, the two collectively known as Team Good Life.

Do you think in the future, they'll be in-house producers for all of the Cube artists?

For Cube they have composed:

All 8 songs on Hard To Love, How To Love

5 of 7 songs on Good Luck (History was written by GiKwang; not Tonight I'll Be By Your Side)

5 of 6 songs on Time (So Hot written by GiKwang)

Their original Japanese singles Sad Movie, How Bout You?, and Adrenaline

Yoseob's Caffeine (which was originally written for BEAST)

Junhyung's entire Flower mini album

Outside of BEAST,

BTOB: One Sip for their The Winter's Tale album
(this also charted on Melon along with their pre-release and title track)

Shin Ji Hoon - Right There

4Minute's Gayoon did an official cover of BEAST's 12:30

genres they dabbled in: ballads, hip-hop, funk, jazz/blues, acoustic, rock, pop, edm, r&b

Will they be the JYP of Cube? Or will they write for other artists outside the company (becoming like S. Tiger and BraveBros)? Only thing they're missing is a name drop  :hehe:

also, do you think Team Good Life title tracks have been hits because BEAST is singing them or because the songs carry their own weight?

I admit the success of Good Luck was mostly fandom power

but 12:30, they only promoted for two weeks and didn't expect to win anything with the tough competition, yet they ended up with 8 wins. It had to be because of the public

It seems like more boy groups are composing their own stuff now though so I'm not sure if he'd be as utilized outside of Cube anyways, since other larger companies have their own in-house composers, and now it's almost a requirement for newer boy groups from smaller companies to have a songwriter in the group... If Junhyung wants to compose for the other Cube groups, as long as the songs work for the group, it's not a bad thing, but for instance, I don't want btob songs to start sounding like Beast's songs, if that makes any sense (btob still need to find their own color IMHO) - and the one OP posted does sound almost like a track that Beast decided not to include on Time (it's good, but it sounds like a Beast song).

I'd be interested to see what he could do for 4Minute since they're in desperate need of a hit, tbh.

Be by your side tonight is awesome. A bright and classic melody that grows on you with a lot of listens

I hope Good Life continue to do well but I don't have a strong opinion about whether they compose for a lot of other groups or not. I guess if they stick mainly to beast and an album track for other cube artists here and there that will help beast to retain their own style. I think those other writing teams producing a whole lot of different people's title songs lately are part of why everyone is getting really sick of kpop

is there any of his songs a mega hit?

Caffeine (for Yoseob) was probably his biggest hit and it was his 1st title track as well so that's where it actually started as far as him producing for Beast and he earned the company's trust basically. I think 12:30 has become his next big hit. Other than that, all other songs he has composed has performed decent on charts but that might be because it's "Beast" and fandom power too.

He has composed a few songs outside of Cube. 2 songs for C-Clown and 1 for Mose. Although you can probably hear how it's so "Good Life" kind of production. Here they are:

C-clown & Ali

C-clown - Cold

The most recent one from this year: Mose

*I definitely agree about BTOB. Although I definitely want him to compose for Gna the most. I think Good Life works well with pop ballad songs and I think Gna needs one right now. None of those 2hot and pretty lingerie kind of songs. She needs another song that showcases her voice more like her debut song. It would be interesting though if they will compose something for 4M.

they already composed songs for artists outside cube, but i would say that it's just shy attemps so far

and u know, junhyung beside being a composer is also an active member of boygroup, so he don't have as much time to spend in the studio in comparision to composers like s,tiger, who are only concentrate at composing :derp:

true but I was thinking since GiKwang started composing, he could help Junhyung out sometimes while he's off writing for other artists

kikwang's tracks are the worst selling ones on beast cds (i know that he only took part twice in making beast album but still..) so idk if he should took bigger role in composing for beast soon (although of course i love his compositions and it's not his fault that korea is not ready for his sensual compositions yet  :horror: )
