I know I'm an ancient hag compared the majority of this forum so perhaps the following will seem bizarre and foreign to 2/3 of you but whatevs let's go with it

 

do you remember the first username you ever had online? don't lie, we all started out with some embarrassing bullshit we hashed together last minute so we could log onto Japanese Anime: 1 of Yahoo Chat or mIRC or sign up to Fanfiction.net or whatever. admit it, embrace it, and post it

 

I remember my very first username circa 1997 but it's actually too embarrassing. I haven't told anyone I know currently about it and I'm not about to. you're gonna have to live in mystery with that one. but I do remember other ones I had because in the late 90s and very early 00s I was a prolific Yahoo Chat user (I used CheetaChat to log on so I could have capital letters in my username and fancy text gradients because I was kool) and having multiple usernames was the trend back then. 

 

my very first username from that era was the iconic and unforgettable SnapsterTodd458 

 

anyway post ur usernames and here is a screencap of an old post that still exists online (which I made many a year ago when I was an embarrassing teenager and nobody knew better to stop me from humiliating my future adult self) that I've chosen to share with you I guess because I hate myself, bye

 

eta: oh yeah, my LiveJournal username is teruhiko. I made it in 2002 and never changed it since. that's why I'm called Teru #littleteruthings

Most of my embarrassing moments are on this website called Stardoll.

I just remember me being an elitist bitch. 

Also the type of person that doesn't "hang out with girls because omg so much drama''.

My MySpace was DanjerezzGrl or some ugly shit like that.

 

wow I forgot MySpace existed for a sec. it was popular for such a brief time. I deleted mine a couple of years ago to get full closure. the only interesting thing I ever did on it was help Adele fix an iTunes problem in PM before she was famous (I had seen her play support for another act at a pub in London a few weeks previously - anyway that's my I Knew Them Before They Were Famous story)

 

I wish I could remember but I walked with dozens of usernames first few ones was "pretty" and then my name next to it or missadrie Idunno

 

I thought that said missandrie and I was gonna be like wow you were ahead of the curve when it comes to sassy and socially aware tumblr usernames imo

I was a Jaejoong stan but I can't remember how annoying I was e.g like post or threads I made I bleached my mind of it.

 

I was in the rant about user thread everyday thats how bad my 16 yr old self was teru I got dragged so hard

we all go thru embarrassing phases... you'll get where you feel most comfortable eventually. I'm not even gonna go into my involvement in the Digimon fansite wars of 2000-3

I think my first username was kallis19, and the moments I remember and cringe are stupid fights in a latin pop forum over who is the better actress, singer etc. I also cringe at my English back then, as well as my shitty typing: I used to type like this,leaving no spaces after commas,or periods,and it's so frustrating to read,lol.

yeah this is my first forum, I don't really join anything because I'm 1. too lazy to sign up 2. most of the time I don't post because of my english, but does tumblr count? cuz my first un on tumblr was something with bucketfullofsunshine lmao

I went through a phase of being the snooty perfect grammar, spelling and punctuation at all times Or You Must Be Some Kind of Idiot No Matter What You're Saying person for a while and I used to correct people's spelling constantly. thank god I grew out of that asshole behaviour lol I can't stand it now.
