SPICA performed at the SBS Awards Festival and they finally performed "Ghost" live! They also did their cover of "Right Here","No Diggity","Thank You" as well as their own songs "Tonight" and "You Don't Love Me". Even on fancams they sound great. And in true SPICA style they did it with no backup track for their voices and no auto-tune. credit YT user Su Jin Lee for the videos

What happened to Boa's solo btw?

As with everything that has to do with their agency, B2M, no explanation was given. Fans have speculated that her solo got bumped when B2M signed Nicole and promoted her solo debut instead.  No one is sure when Boa's solo debut will happen and that means we can't even speculate when SPICA will have their next comeback. During this performance Sihyun said they are trying to CB for their 3rd anniversary but that may be difficult, but she didn't say why. B2M will have Eric Nam comeback at the beginning of the year so whatever happens after that is still unknown.

I think now that Mamamoo is getting a lot of attention, Spica will be forgotten.  They were kinda getting their names out there for being a vocal idol girl group but Mamamoo has the same image plus they seem to be appealing on variety shows.

SPICAAAAAAAAAAAAAA :ahmagah: :ahmagah: :ahmagah:

B2M is really bad at promoting, aren't they?

In a lot of ways, yes. But in some ways they are actually good. Like during their promotion B2M does give a lot of support to their artists. For SPICA this was very evident during the "You Don't Love Me" comeback where SPICA had a lot of different performances and appearances and SPICA just about had a different wardrobe for each one as well as slight changes to their choreography and the on stage background/backdrops.

What B2M is terrible at is putting out information. Like right now the SPICA thread is nearly dead because no one knows what's going on with them. You have to dig through their IG and Twitter accounts just to get a sliver of information and even then it's usually after the event has happened. It's hard to keep excited about them if you don't have something to be excited about.

But B2M does treat them very good. They don't have all the restrictions that other groups seem to have. They don't live in the dorm anymore (only Narae and Jiwon live together now and that is by choice). They can date, go out and meet friends, and eat how they want. They even dress how they want for appearances as evident because sometimes Narae is wearing some pretty terrible stuff (she is legendary for having bad fashion sense). So in that sense I'm glad they are with B2M.

I wish B2M would get them on more popular variety shows. Narae, Jiwon, and Sihyun would be great at that stuff and Narae especially has the type of personality that people would find interesting if they got to know how weird she is.

This is why as much as I like Mamamoo, I don't post up about them. There are always those fans that are constantly pitting them against each other. Rather then trying to support having more good vocal groups they want them to go against each other making fans think they have to choose between them. What kpop can only have one good vocal group? Is there only one group that can do "aegyo"? Is there only one group that can do "sexy"?

Well, I know that they are good at supporting their idols and they are good at treating their idols. I think it is evident with big names (Lee Hyori and Nicole) agreeing to sign with them. It's just that I wish they put SPICA's name out there more (news articles, photoshoots, variety, etc) so people will actually pay attention to them :._.:

But it's like that with all their artists, it's just that the big name people like Lee Hyori don't need the promotion. I mean look at Eric Nam. He's very popular with international fans because of After School Club but his singing career hasn't even made a dent, and he's as talented a singer as anyone in kpop.

I wasn't trying to imply people shouldn't write about or enjoy Mamamoo.  I like them as well and think they are really talented.  It would be great if there could be multiple vocal groups out there like there are multiple sexy/cutesy groups but I'm not sure if kpop fans will stan them in the same way.  Especially if they don't have the right look or aren't the right age.  It's also a lot harder for vocal girl groups than for boy groups. I'm personally hoping they both find their place at the top.
