Music Core's sound mixing is terrible

I've been learning (low level) music industry at my school for 3 years, and even I know this is poor quality sound engineering... I don't know if it was the same for everyone's performances but RV sure got screwed over.

The backing track is too quiet

The microphone volumes fade in and out

The vocal tracks have minimal to no reverb on them

The EQ is unstable

This is all stuff that should be be worked out in the post performance, do they not practice?? Even I, as a complete novice, can see a few of the basic problems present. What could have been a great performance was destroyed.

This is infinitely better. The vocals get drowned out a bit here and there, but the backing track supports the levels. Does anyone know whether this was before or after RV's performance?

After would make sense, but if it was before I honestly don't understand.

It was today. Seems like the sound mixing got better lately, fortunately

I noticed this during KBS gayo as well. It was weird that so many groups seemed to have almost no backing track.

makes you wonder why they're hiring people who don't seem to be able to do their job...either that or they're just so time pressured that they can't level things and make sure equipment works properly.

Did Red Velvet perform on the live broadcast or did they do a pre-recording earlier on?

Mamamoo went before them and they sounded fine. (The camera work on the other hand...)

If you listen at the start of the performance, the backing track is a bit too quiet, but it's fixed in the pause between Solar and Moonbyul's (?) parts. I think Mamamoo's saving grace is that they have very little vocal on their backing track, so when the volume was fixed their whole performance was fine (great, even, what a good song!).

Whereas for RV they (for god knows what reason) didn't fix the volume, and their backing track had a lot of vocal on it making the performance sound messy. Only to be worsened by the horror of the mics.

Red Velvet's one is pre-recording. So, they should have time to fix it. How about Mamamoo? Is it live broadcast or pre-rec?

They performed on the live broadcast (and I kinda wish it wasn't because of the camera man being lost the entire time).

Camera crews are also not so good this year. From SBS Gayo to KBS Daechukjae to this. I hope MBC can give us a decent one next week.

they did perfect on Mcountdown and it was with minimal backtrack. It was a mic problem, not them. Stop trying to put RV down.
