It's hard to imagine that I didn't know who you were two years ago.

 

At first, I had no idea what to think of you. You had an innocence about you that I found so charming, but some times you would say things that made you look so much older. 

 

"If you really want to have one thing, you have to sacrifice another. That's just how it is."

 

I guess it's to be expected..You became a trainee in 6th grade. You debuted when you were fourteen and you've been working none stop for the past five years.. You were forced to grow up too fast, but you still managed to maintain some of your innocence. Your effortless smile is just as contagious as it was five years ago.

"Dance? Dancing is like walking. People always walk, right? For me, I always have to dance."

 

Even when the other members are standing in the airport, you just can't stand still. When you're lost in thought, you sometimes unconsciously start moving to a beat that only you can hear.

 

Dancing is part of you. You couldn't stop if you tried.

 

You were always a dancer.

Practice what you preach, right? You always smile and it's contagious. Watching you, I sometimes smile without even realizing it. Even your hyungs smile fondly when they look at you.

 

You bring happiness to people around you. It's a precious gift that I hope you never lose.

Singing didn't come as naturally to you, but you've always wanted to sing. When you were a trainee, you weren't given much vocal training because your voice was still unstable. 

 

You didn't give up, though. You met Onew for the first time on the training building rooftop and you started practicing there together. He was a hyung that you cherished... you must have been glad to debut together, right?

 

After debut, you still continued practicing with your hyung's help. You wanted to become a great singer. A lot of people doubted you, including fans, including me, but you proved us all wrong starting with immortal song. and you continue to prove us wrong every day.

 

We watched you grow up before our eyes. We watched you improve. We watched you become the talented man you are now.

 

You make us SO proud.

Wow time flies by so fast!

Who would've thought that cute mushroom boy is finally turning 20 yrs old and is an adult now?

 

from an awkward, cute mushroom-haired boy during Replay era / pre-debut

 

 

and being a precious gominam (pretty boy)/ adrogynous-looking boy,

 

 

 

He has now grown up into a fine, attractive and charismatic young man right before our very own eyes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

He can even drive now

...and enjoys flirting with Naeun lol

 

but he still hasn't lost his natural cuteness and preciousness of course.<3333

 

 

 

So proud of him that he has also improved leaps and bounds in his singing skills. His passion and drive to success is admirable. <333 At the same, he still continue being an amazing and talented dancer. So talented and hardworking.

 

Who would have thought at the time when people always doubted, laughed at him and put him down, he still never gave up and stayed true to his words when he said he wanted to improve and wanted to become one of the main vocalists in SHINee. Look at him now. No one is going to stop him.

 

 

 

He has surely come a long way, and continue to do the best in achieving his dream and goal. He has a bright future ahead of him. hope the best for his future success!
