The problem is that if there were any side effects, the most likely one would be impotency, which would make it useless. Probably one of the main reasons we'll never see hormonal birth control for men, because even small changes in hormones can cause severe lack of libido, impotency and even sterility. Some anti-hair loss products for men are causing impotency and sterility, because even in small doses they mess with testosterone.
