Chemical oxfoliation/peel

I have never use one before but i have heard so many good things about chemical peel/exfoliation(they are the same thing right?).

If you are using one, which brand are you using?

I would like to start using it and the one from Skin Inc seems very good but expensive at $55. So perhaps someone here can recommend me a good one but cheaper than Skin inc. Or should i just splurge on it?

Is that meant for the face?

I don't use any brands, I just use a homemade scrub of coconut oil and sugar

Works wonders especially for dry skin

yeah it is for the face and i heard that scrub with bead is bad for skin so thats why i wanted to try chemical one...

You def. don't need to pay $55 for one of these. Ones called 'peels' are generally a higher concentration and meant to be used rarely; I believe I've heard good things about MUAC's. You can use an AHA with a lower concentration, say 8% or 10% glycolic acid, more frequently or even daily if your skin tolerates it. I like Paula's Choice's 8% AHA gel which is around $20 and lasts a long time.

sugar one is fine because it should melt a bit from the warmth of your hands and so won't cause any tears  :)

I use a chemical one from Peter Thomas Roth. It's not that it's bad but I want to go back to using natural products. My skin seems to respond better. I tend to never know what's breaking me out so I like my skin care simple and with as little ingredients as possible. So if I try honey and it breaks me out, I know to stay away. However, when it comes to store bought products. I can't pinpoint the ingredient.

you're right, it can be hard, but there are some products with more limited ingredients out tgere and CosDNA.com can help you a lot, too. Also patch-testing products before you go gung-ho with them.  :)

My skin is oily and prone to breakouts. My friend advised me to use natural honey. So it's a no go? Any good advises on natural skin care products?

Even if I patch test I can't be sure, plus sometimes I can't tell if it's a new product or a change in climate. For instance, summer wreaks havoc on my skin far more than winter.  As I grow older, I'm less willing to experiment.
