All the sulfate free shampoos I've used so far have been great. I tried using a regular shampoo again once and it felt like I clarified never again.

There's an Aussie brand, named ego. They have a product line called QV for skincare, that's very popular (if you've heard of it) They also have anti dandruff shampoo, that works wonders. You also need to get days off from that shampoo (since it's strong) and use moisture shampoo on days off the ego shampoo.

For conditioner, use anything with moisture, since dandruff comes from having a dry scalp.

No, not really. In order to prevent dandruff you need to do some major house cleaning. Change and wash your bedsheets regularly, try getting a new towel and wash that regularly too. Don't comb your hair for a while (if you have to, buy a new comb. Dandruff is almost impossible to remove from combs) avoid hot showers, since they dry your scalp (causing more dandruff)

The meaning of life is to coexist.

:omg:

I haven't really tried any other shampoo brands and I'm scared to do so. That's why I'm still using H&S  :unimpressed:

Dandruff it either dry skin or a fungal infection. Dry skin needs moisturizing shampoo and the easiest way to kill the fungus is a diluted vinegar rinse.

You're most likely combination then. Good luck!

What are people's take on dry shampoo?

I have really long and thick hair so I used to use it when I was lazy.

But it never really cleans like an actual hair wash and I feel like my hair gets clumpy (even tho less oily) when I use it.

I feel like it somehow clogs my pores on my scalp or sth...

This should be the theme song for this thread:

I use the ones from TreSemme or from Petit Marseillais! I prefer the latter, more creamy and less drying.

I have dandruff problem & hair fall problem. But apparently the root of the problems is I have sensitive scalp. Now I use this shampoo and I avoid any conditioner and hair products that applied directly to the scalp.

Lately I started doing these too. Cleaning my combs regularly, use separate towel for my hair & scalp, etc. So far it works wonder for my dandruff & hair loss problems.

I've been using some of Shea Moisture's shampoo and conditioners since last September because I wanted to start using natural hair products. Totally worth it for me :'D

Once I tried Sulphate free shampoos, I never went back to the regular shampoos.

My hair actually felt lighter and looks glossier(black, never dyed my hair before). If you have a greasy and sensitive scalp, only go for sulphate free shampoos. It takes some time for your scalp to get used to the lack of surfactants but afterwards, it can only feel good and nothing else.

I'm now using this shampoo because it's cheap and good...

but my favourite is still John Masters Organics Zinc and Sage shampoo

I'm still going to try different sulphate free brands that can help in not just cleansing well, but nourishing my scalp. Tried Phyto, but not really a fan of it because of the packaging(the way how product comes out).

I have very low maintenance of my hair but it's generally in very good condition so yea. But right now, I am kinda using a combination of these two (in the spoiler). Herbal Essences shampoos and conditioners smell heavenly tbh.

I actually alternate shampoo & conditioners, However I prefer herbal essences or Pantene.
Also I don't ever wash my hair with hot water, only cold water. It moisturize and makes my hair shiny.
