Remember what girl groups used to serve us during Gayos?

They're using less and less special collab performances nobody ever expected and prefer to just give remixes to each group.

It sounds alright on concept, but it falls to shit when the camera flails around confusingly and the sound system sounds like two tin cans tied together by a string.

Also if the remixes itself suck. whoop. uhh random award show?

2009-2010 Gayos were the shit. Good times, that's when I first got into K-pop

I guess I can kind of understand why nowadays it's so lackluster, groups are way too competitive they losing the sight of just having fun and creative with collaborations. They get minimal time to practice for these events b/c they are packed with tons of schedules. That's why they don't really go outside the box.

It's the influx of idol groups. There are so many groups now, so they have to divide performance time accordingly. Unfortunately, because of that, they don't really get much time to put on good, long special stages.

SBSGD was held in a small venue, too, so fans for each respective groups were only given an "X" amount of tickets to go see them. According to a Blackjack, they were only given 6 tickets total. Other fans were in the same situation; some more, some less.

ugh this is the type of performances we should be getting for end of the year shows, not the same performances as seen on music shows plus a half assed mini remix.

anyway i guess since idols promote internationally more often these days they don't have time to practice songs/dances from other artists.

Oh wow, I didn't know Gayo performances used to be so fun. I wasn't around for kpop back then. I guess this is the most realistic reason:
